I first stumbled onto one of your videos while looking for totally unrelated videos. I'm glad I did - and yours is one of the few channels I actually subscribe to. Pipe organ music is one of the things in life that truly makes me happy - when you're in the space with the organ, and the music surrounds you and starts to resonate with the room itself, it's very much a spiritual experience. Gert, you've quickly become my favorite organist. And I love the very subtle, non-verbal communication between you and Marjolein. It's fascinating to watch how an almost-imperceptible nod or head movement is all she needs to know exactly what to do next. Clearly, you two were meant to be together and a team, both professionally and personally. It's obvious, at least from these videos, that you two have both found your soulmates. I live in the Chicago area. I keep hoping that at some point, someone will bring you over here. I work at the University of Chicago, and we have a magnificent orchestral organ in Rockefeller Chapel. I'm going to send an email to the music director asking to consider bringing you in for a concert.

So sad Mendelssohn passed away far too soon when he was only 38 .....He was a truly gifted artist and only God knows how he would have further developed in his musical career and what masterpieces he would have contributed to the World, maybe some to equal those of Bach and Handel? by the way, wonderfully played with perfect registry. William Evans, it sounds as we have similar tastes as The Third Man and the Karas zither score are in my top 5 of all-time greatest films! All of the main cast members are perfect as are the secondary character actors. Alida Valli is gorgeous. The camera work, the serious story, the post war Vienna setting, punctuated with bits of dry humor, it's quote amazing. My apologies to Gert for rambling on, but it's great to get to know people here as well. Wish there were someone who could translate the Dutch, at least, for those who speak only English so we could know what Gert and others are saying.

Coincidentally, I had just read some biographical information on Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn this morning, then this KZbin post from you came this afternoon. Mendelssohn is among my favorite composers. Thank you for sending this familiar tune played with spirit. Also, I'm thinking about how musical and mathematical your child will be because he or she is benefitting from Gert's rehearsals and performances. Finally, despite the age of some of these instruments we hear as Gert plays around, they are in fine shape and well-maintained.
