The ASU Drum Section needs to find themselves when it comes to a truly rhythmic drum section. To ASU Drumsection, listen, and pay attention to drum sections like Norfolk State University, and North Carolina A&T State University Percussion Drum Sections.

Well, I actually live the percussion section. Not to complicated and they play well and open together. Their cadence sound simple but have interesting additions. They are them. MD Funk Squad is them and Cold Steel is them. I like all of them for WHAT they do. They must be different from each other. That's what makes them who they are. ASU percussion. Keep up the good work

Keep it 100 LA and NOLA Marching Bands are serious, and our percussion drums are different than what is used up north and on the east coast. Respect to the MEAC but nothing touches the SWAC. JSU, SU and ASU my top three this year for Bands, SU and ASU has the most beautiful girls leading. Great job ASU.

Totally agree. I feel like the writing of these cadences is dated and does not use the ensemble as well as NSU, NCAT, VSU, Morgan State, etc. the Quads parts in particular, sound like an afterthought. The bass drums are not playing anything interesting. The snares only play some tight 16th notes with maybe a few diddles. The ASU cadences sound like the Civil War. It’s a shame because the talent and commitment is clearly there. Love this band, but the drum line is the weak link.

To Alabama State University Percussion Section, if you would like a much more rhythmic but basic drum section beats that sounds really great check out thee United States Naval Academy Marching Band at Annapolis, Maryland. I really enjoy watching and listening to the USNA Military Marching Band Drum Section Perform.
