@@topoen1 When I was in High School, we actually wrote the movement on our music. That way as you memorized the music itself, you memorized that you would be marching forward for x number of beats (for example!) It does make it easier.

Famous fact I Read recently by a war veteran. A Highlander playing the Bagpipes made the Germans Hesitate as they were machine gunning across a line of running allies.For those 5 to 10 seconds Pausing enough soldiers broke through the defenses and barbed wire and routed the Germans with the machine guns.The Playing Bagpipes soldier survived the war also🙂👍He saved his Regiment with the Bagpipes and music

@@emstirling-is4nu Hi Em - That was what I said to Ewan when I met him at the palace recently "You are The Highland Dancer!". he said he's given that up and started on the pipes, which he was playing that day for sure. Thanks for the compliments for me & my buddy Haizhen. I'm on holiday from Monday abroad so will miss the ROyal Week stuff, sure Haizhen will get it all!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Vor vielen Jahren war ich als Pfadfinderin mit dem Fürther Kreisjugendring in der Fürther Patenstadt Paisley zu Besuch . Da waren wir auf einer grossen Wiese zu einem grossen Treffen mit viele Dudelsack Musikgruppen eingeladen . Das war für mich ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis u. seidem mag ich diese Musik . Hatte auch einen rot karierten Schottenrock den ich sehr gerne trug . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This what happens when u reduce the military and they have to amalgamate. Its now the Royal Regiment of Scotland and consists of at least 4 different old regiments which are identified by #Scots to keep some identity. There is usually a Military Band of various musicians and instrument, then a separate Pipes & Drums Band.
