I don’t think he’s super athletic but his dribbling nullifies him needing it on offense, and he hustles for boards and for put backs so he makes up for not jumping high for effort so he’ll be good. Also he looks to put the ball on the floor on catch so that’s refreshing to see

Almost identical builds/physical profiles at 6'6 with 6'9 wingspans and both are great defenders. Jimmy couldn't shoot the 3 well in college either, at least not until his Junior year where he still only attempted 1.5 3's per game. Jimmy Butler is definitely Castle's NBA ceiling though. That's what makes him so intriguing.

It's not that he's not good, it's that Dillingham is already so much more offensively talented than him and they're the same age.. I don't understand what the Spurs were thinking, he has got to get his three ball going in order to be worthy of this selection, imho, the Spurs laid an egg; horrible horrible trade to the Wolves and there was no reason to do so, insane move on the part of the Spurs, sloppy and shockingly poor general management!

Looks like the Spurs are trying to build an elite defensive team and Dillingham would not fit in with his lazy defense. If they get into the playoffs they can’t win with a player like Dillingham that would get hunted relentlessly on defense similarly to how the Celtics went after Luka Doncic in the finals. Castle needs to become a better shooter if he wants to excel as a guard, but worst case scenario he could play as a wing if his shooting doesn’t improve enough.
