@@Jack_hoff_man never said he did, flamenco technique applies percussion attacks over the guitar as well, and those are also applied to modern compositions. Just like string players sometimes leave the bow for pizz. or plucked strings players using bows. In Chile there's also a skilled guitar player who has used double bass techniques (for the left hand) in order to reach bigger intervals that would normally take the player to slide and release either an unwanted glissando or a not always appreciated sound from sliding the finger over the string. My point is, that although this might not sound in style in terms of technique, he didn't either in terms of musical language (specifically the rythm) therefore, it shouldn't be measured or put in that frame because it is a completely different beast.

What i hate is that so many people abuse the word "prodigy" now'a'days for very good musicians. A prodigy is someone who is so naturally talented that they can usually play the instrument flawlessly without professional help. They teach themselves and learn the instrument in their own way. Someone who is trained by a professional can also after thousands and thousands of hours of practice also play this well. But that doesn't mean they're a prodigy. It just means they dedicated all that time into perfecting their skill. Which i feel should be portrayed more in media, as the word prodigy is being tossed around now'a'days it feels like the passion and sheer practice gets ignored. I understand it's supposed to be a compliment, but at the same time it's ignorant of the amount of time they have spent practicing to get to this level. Everyone starts off somewhere, you don't magically become this good even as a prodigy. It takes time, lots of time. Speaking from personal experience as i used to go to piano lessons for 9 years

6 strings, 20ish frets, 10 fingers. Lotta numbers to work with. And when you’ve practiced as much as he clearly has, endless range of sounds. @SojuLast Жыл бұрын
@@Beezlie727 A lot of acoustics have that, its so that they can connect it to speakers or else you wouldnt be able to hear it at all. An electric guitar refers to something entirely different and produces a different sound.
@RobinsonHuso-nl1lq Жыл бұрын
Depending on what tone you are going to utilize, it would sound pretty different on an electric guitar, not necessarily better. Electric guitar pickups capture sound generated by the strings, they are actually not designed to pick up noise from the body itself, like when he does all that percussive stuff. In detail, they generate and capture a magnetic field thats being interfered by the strings. You can still hear the sounds from the body, but definitely not as prominent as with an acoustic guitar. Also, when you use overdrive or distortion like in a typical rock guitar tone, it would sound rather muddy, as different notes played under distortion kinda get fused together. It would be much more difficult, to distinguish the different notes he's playing. Sorry if that sounds rather disappointing...
