AURORA interviewed in hometown

AURORA interviewed in her hometown by the local newspaper (Os og Fusaposten). Filmed on the 26th of February 2016, just a few hours before her concert there, a concert which according to Bergens Tidende set a new record attendance for the venue with its 1150 concert-goers. It was also the last concert to be held before her debut album was released.

Aurora would really love Eastern Canada. Lots of landscape, water, and no buildings. I love it here. I understand being from a small area. It's not the same when you go to the city. All the busy drains your soul after a while.

its inspiring to see someone from a country like norway say that "in big cities you cant stare into the distance". I live in Germany and not even in a big city, but it still makes me so sad, that the most of us almost never really get to expirience nature ....were all just trying to replace that with meditation or yoga but really were just building or own problems...up...Aurora grew up in nature and i think that impacted her a lot, and shes just such a special unique and raw human beeing and i think if we all would be more connected to nature, the world would be a better place.

I love this language so much that I started to learn it on Duolingo (2nd day today...lol) but I read about it a lot and I am so confused. People are saying the written Norwegian is different from the spoken Norwegian and there are different dialects all over the country. I choose to learn bokmål type by the way. How am I gonna learn to speak Norwegian I don't know. I'm a bit worrying but still very excited about it. Much love to Aurora ❤️

If you learn bokmål, you will find that it sounds a bit different from Auroras dialect which is from the western part of Norway around Bergen. One of the differences is the pronunciation of the "r". Lykke til med norskopplæringen;-)

Two others you may like from Norway: Kari Rueslåtten, and Helene Bøksle. Also, an artist singing exclusively in the Bergen dialect (which is the one Aurora speaks) is Bendik. It is a bit darker and harder music, but still pop with an electronic focus, so you may like it.
