Marco plays the track 'Speed Limit' from the album 'Homeland': bit.ly/Speed-Limit

this guy has taken bits of Timmons, Petrucci and has gracefully perfected the art !

***** I'm hearing some Eric Johnson / Shawn Lane in here too.

I agree of the similarity with Timmons and Petrucci. But you cant perfect Petrucci ;)
@subhendubiswas30133 жыл бұрын
Marco's playing sounds even more emotional than Petrucci
@platriani9 жыл бұрын
I have been learning this for months. Incredibly difficult to replicate as per the record. I've pretty much got all the tricky bits which are mechanical, however the dynamics and timing is very tricky, especially that thing he does sliding into notes with a lightning fast slidy jiggle.....I'm getting there. Hats off to anyone who can play this....if non guitar players had any idea how much time and effort goes into this !!! If I put this much effort into gym, I'd be Mr Olympia !!!
@Jublition5 жыл бұрын
you are playful on your own way of playing this improvisation with you colorful . remember that there is no on-else as same in playing improvisation entirely. go ahead and keep forward. good luck
@rondeldebbio92194 жыл бұрын
Much more difficult to replicate than to create.
@an_38kitkashyap4 жыл бұрын
@@Jublition even if we coppy note for note, we won't sound like him. These notes came from his mind. The only way to replicate him totally is to be able to read someone's mind.

Marco Sfogli: The perfect blend between two of my favourite guitarrists: Petrucci and Timmons, there is something melodic going on about this guy that I just love!! Great music! This is my favorite Sfogli tune!
@lwilso209 жыл бұрын
don't forget Satriani. There is plenty of Satriani influence in this tune. Timmons and Satch for his melodic phrasing and Petrucci for his technique. Marco is the next level of guitar player, he's the next stage of evolution, and in my honest opinion, he is better than Petrucci, Satch, Timmons, Vai, etc. Brace yourselves, the "Petrucci is GOD" fanboys are coming... Petrucci isn't as good as he used to be, which doesn't make much sense. I believe he's lost touch with how musical feels, and had pushed too deeply into what notes are theoretically and technically the correct ones to play. His music has lost a lot of emotion, but that's just my opinion.
@eliashaddadmusic67919 жыл бұрын
this guy mixed the best of satriani petrucci and timmons in his style..amazing musician....

I know a lot of people will hate me for this, but this is so much better than anything I have ever heard people like Guthrie play. May not be as technical or anything but sure is a hell lot more melodic and a bit more heart felt and plus I really dig Marco's tone and phrasing.
