From the opening riff of this prog rock ballad, Marco Sfogli gives you a lesson in the world of guitar! 'Speed Limit' is taken from his album 'Homeland' and features all the melody, technical ability and catchy hooks you'd imagine from one the greatest guitar players around.
Every solo and lick on 'Speed Limit' is a small example of just how good Marco Sfogli is. Whether it's prog metal, prog rock or a modern take on some classic 80's metal, you know that Marco always delivers.
A huge thanks to our friends at Elixir Strings for helping us put this together!

How can I learn how to select a pick-up like Marco ? His pick-up changes and sense of tone is just too good!
@terribleligadelmal4541
@terribleligadelmal4541 5 жыл бұрын
Maybe this will help you: if it is about selecting the pick up while playing, then the standard is to use the first frets to the 12th fret with the bridge.pick up, and the rest with the neck pickup. It is not set in stone, for example you may want the mellow characteristic of the neck pick on a 3 note per string scale around the 7th to 10th frets , in the end it depends on your judgement. if it is about selecting a new pick up to install, well... better check reviews or if you can, try them. Best of luck to you !

@@alexilaiho6441 For tapping and slower sustained notes sounds good on neck pickup. While the bridge pickup is great for palm muted riffs and works just fine for all of the above mentioned. Fast tremolo picking sounds more thicker and defined on neck but more crunchier and attacking on the bridge. In the end, its all about how you want to present your sound in your song.
