Hello Marco! first of all, thank you for the most beautiful guitar music you've created. I am in The Bahamas, and I am really beginning to learn the guitar as I ought to have, after having been playing since I was 16. I am now 58. I am blind, and therefore have had alot of struggles with properly learning the guitar. 1. I never got lessons as a boy! As I am blind, I could not read instructional books, so as to teach myself. Sadly, as a result, I developed many bad habits. However, I must say that out of all of the guitar instructors on KZbin that I've listened to, you are the first guitarist from whom I have been able as a blind guitarist, to learn the things I always yearned to learn. thanks! I shall share more with you, later. Let me say as I close that your sound, your style of playing, and most of all your clarity in teaching guitar cords, have all caused me to fall in love with the guitar, all over again. I shall appreciate it someday, if along with cords, you can also provide the exact fingering. Again thanks! You've helped me to become the better guitar player, I've always longed to be. My weekest spot though, is playing scales.

This is such an unbelievably informative and inspiring video. Im sitting at school listening to this and all i can think is "I NEED TO FIND A GUITAR TO PRACTICE WITH, RIGHT NOW"

I love how you give us a birds eye view of what's possible with just 3 chords. Everything is neatly linked to each other. I not only learn each step. I learn the intricacies between the steps. And all that in a 12 minute video. This shows you are a true master at teaching. Thank you Marco! Keep it coming!

Since watching this video I haven't been able to put my guitar down. I've revisited other chords progressions from my past playing as well and I have adapted them using the ideas you demonstrated. My wife even commented "What happened to you!" "You're playing so many different songs in so many different styles." Thanks again Marco for such as inspiring and informative video.

Thanks Marco I'm always wondering about these interesting alternative chord options to make my progressions more interesting. More videos explaining how to identify and create these chords such as the secondary dominant etc. Would be really cool and appreciated. Either way thanks for your efforts 🙏🌻

These were the 3 chords I played when I learned 25 years ago, I thought they sounded spanish-ish. But I never learned to play up the neck (inversions). I guess I could watch over and over, but I wish you could slow down a little so it could sink in. You always make it sound so beautiful and easy.

It's SO FUNNY that you say OUT OF COMFORT ZONE! Seems to imply you need sacrifice in order to gain something in return! I feel you are exactly right about this!! You reap what you sow! Ironically, the hard work is richly rewarded, to the extent that it seems on reflection, it was NOT WORK but pure pleasure! Thank you Marco, again the JOY you bring is life giving me the opportunity to work (hard?) on beautiful music.

Using E in the place of Em is something I've been doing since I first started playing, and I still do to this day. One fun thing you can do with it, is move that all up one half step, leaving the open E, B and e, making a Fmaj13/E. (Up a whole step from there, you get a nice voicing of G6/E. Have fun with those. Nice and spicy chords right there.)
