I really like the way you don't just switch all the way into a chord between cycles of the pattern, it appears as though you plant 1 finger then the rest on the next cycle. I could be imagining things, but that seems like a fun way to keep your picking flow without rushing your left hand.

2:00. So Marco, I love your videos, and I have learned a lot. But I do have a question about why, with the Travis method, you are only using the index finger? When I first started to finger pick using a 4132 string progression it was natural for me to only use my thumb and forefinger. I have practiced my way out of that to include the middle and ring fingers when picking. Now, when trying to learn the Travis picking method, I keep wanting to use my middle finger on the number one string. So I find myself continuously going back-and-forth between doing it both ways. Is there an advantage or disadvantage to only using the index finger? Thanks for the videos and keep them coming!

As said before many times here this again was a great lesson. I already know the Travis Picking but how much the melody adds to this sound is new to me. And these are the things that make you different from many other teachers. Thank you so much, Marco. By the way, is this out of your fingerstyle course?
@nickkk79532 жыл бұрын
hi Marco, I have been trying to learn this picking pattern for a while now, but no matter how fast I go, it doesn't not sound like the demo that you played. I noticed tyat there are small pauses in your demo, but I am not sure how they work. I'd love to know how you did it. I looked at other KZbin videos, but their tutorials do not sound like your demo. i dont think i have my timing right. thank you for this great video.

Try to keep your uke nearby and throughout the day (if possible) pick up for even 5-10 minutes at a time. With small, multiple practices instead of one long session you'll notice each time you'll be a little better.
