looks better than game workshop box art, and that was a standard I wanted to learn when I started out. I really like your "workflow" seems so much easier and less tedious than using acrylic shades. Ordering some oil paints now, I only use black and brown for panel lining, to get the capillarity effect, but pairing and blending with them is totally new to me. but just seeing how amazing you can blend it and get a smooth transition great work! and not to take away from you as an artist, am sure you just make it look easy with all your experience. but it resonates with my lazy side so much.

Great stuff as always bud :-) You are really helping and showing people things they never would of tried before. I use oils more and more when I paint, they are amazing for simple washes for catching details or doing blends (only need to get used to the amount of paint I need for it, usually alot less) I am doing alot of Knight Models Batman Minis and KDM stuff :) Also these new Ork models are amazing! this is the type of ORk I have always wanted, they look like they are almost totally taken out of some of the old Lord of The Rings art designs if you go back to look at them you will see especially in the face, keeping that odd fantasy jaw you couldn't do in the movies because of well humans are under make-up.

It takes a little getting used to and an investment into the paints, but I will never look back. I started 6 months afo with a brown (burnt umber/sienna), black, magenta, and green and just added anoil wash step. I now have almost a full set of oils and really enjoy using them for all sorts of applications!!
