Great Video....i have received my new FZ-1000 this week....Fantastic for Video Ultra-HD filming ...Airplane Spotting....and great Zoom......I use an external Zoom mic : TAKSTAR SGC-598....32 Euro !! i will go to Schiphol AMSTERDAM and hope to video the planes there...greetings from Holland..

thanks a lot!! :D FZ1000 is a very good camera... but.. to use it correctly you have to film with tripod, manual focus, with OIS off, with a ND filter on the lens because the shutter speed is too high without ND filter, i do not recommend to use it hand held... surely not ;) autofocus in 4K is too slow.. unusable in my opinion, for this reason you have to use it in manual focus, there is "focus peaking" function that helps to set the correct focus :) now there is an hack that allows to switch from PAL to NTSC with a button combination, very good think..4K at 30fps are really better for plane spotting, definitely better than 25 fps. So FZ1000 is a good camera but need some tricks to use it correctly, infact in this video I did use ND filter but I bought is soon. Now I have not this camera but my opinion about it is good! :) ciao!

I think its because down-scaling it to 1080p from 4K in post looks better than shooting it in 1080p.

Have you try filming 4k for night video? I tried filming at night in M movie mode but the iSO is limited to 6400 only! If I zoom in to the 600mm end the aperture goes down to f/4 which is not enough for night video. Why the ISO is only up to 6400 in video filming?

That is an Airbus A340(-313X) now operated by Aerolineas Argentinas. It was the 193th built A343 its first flight was in 1997 October. It was originally delivered to Iberia with registration EC-GPB (from 1997 October to 2013 June). Since 2013 october it is one of the 7 active A340s at Argentinas biggest airline. Notice that there is a video about this plane on this site having a near miss accident with UTair B767-300.
