15:00 onward is mesmerizing! May be little more weight but please carry another spare charger. Keep the charge rate low unless the owner is sure its 15 amp wiring too behind the socket. As was saying most places the plug is 15 amp but the cable behind was never put for high power output hence they fail. The charger may have failed due to voltage fluctuation, something very common in remote parts.

Right. Don't know if there is such a think as portable stabilizer. Maybe if there is such a thing then it would be a boon. Usually the charger should have protection built into it.

6:15 if you look at how the voltage drops to 100V and even below - there's your problem. Charge current set to 10A, way too high. Either the mains was not powerful enough to provide the current or there was a cabling problem and some contact got really, really hot and stinky.

That's the same place i went in Hanle. Such remote locations, Volts may be 219 or 220, but Amps would below, thats the reason it take much longer time compared to town/city power quality. One piece suggestion to all.. Never plugin and leave the wire ON in such remote places, always SWITCH OFF if power goes, again SWITCH ON once the power is back(wait 60 seconds or 120 seconds once the power is back, don't switch ON the Wall socket immediately)

One of my electronics teachers was a hydroelectric engineer. He talked about a weak source, but I don't remember how he defined it. Always nice to stop and tickle the battery. My buddy and I were at high altitude and his Brembo brakes acted spongy. My Brembo brakes were a different model and were not affected. He tried bleeding the brakes, but not much change until going to a lower altitude. I never understood it as the system is supposed to be closed and therefore not affected by atmospheric pressure.
