Well, almost 1000km but what’s a few km after 30h riding and charging, right? Definitely a long way to Varanasi in India 🇮🇳 it’s hot and the roads are brutal, so I thought I do it one go with a few charging stops where I was supposed to catch some sleep but that didn’t work out! I know it’s dangerous riding at night but honestly, I wanna go in the mountains as fast as possible! Let’s do this 🤙🏼

I don’t justify burning crops because that’s what pollutes the most there, but I get it why they do it. Farming has turned into a low income business these days, they don’t have machinery or equipments to remove residual plantation. Also people do old school farming in these areas, modernisation has not reached there yet or if it has people are too rigid to accept it

I put highway pegs on Hoot my Transalp 750, for long rides. You should consider highway pegs mounting them, they have clamps, to Eve's guard bars protecting the battery. You can then move your feet forward, rest them on the pegs and relieve the stretch on the palliator tendons on your knees from your legs being cramped underneath you.

You are brave doing this, amazing to see how a bike with such relatively short range and electric can be made to work on a big trip, where there is a will there is a way! I think it's quite a good idea to just sleep whilst the bike is charging and just do the occasional bed and breakfast, saves on accommodation costs and makes use of the down time whilst bike is charging.

Marc, slipstreaming behind a truck is good for your battery, but really bad for your health. The exhaust smoke from diesels in Europe are all heavily filtered and cleaned through catalytic converters. The Diesels in Asia may not be. Take care of your lungs, move out from behind trucks or wear EN95 mask. You'll be glad you did later. All the best.😅

@@peekingowl4074 That may be true for new trucks/buses, but anyone can see that what covers Marcus's face and fills his lungs, is definitely NOT coming from new vehicles. All the heavy vehicles in India from 2005 have the BS6 STANDARD and required pollution under control ( PUC. ) CERTIFICATE+ In India petrol is mixed ethanol about 5% and 45°C in normal in india so might see black smoke coming from large goods container truck

@@anonymousalpha LOOK, I'M NOT impugning an entire nation here! It's plain to see Marcus's face is filthy partly from sweat and dust but partly the soot particles that come from badly maintained diesels. I've been a biker doing the same slipstreaming on small bikes behind trucks when young, and a truck mechanic for nearly forty years. We've all seen the clouds of reek belching from some of the trucks/buses that Marc's slipstreamed, especially on hills, and they ARE NOT HEALTHY TO STAY BEHIND WITHOUT A GOOD MASK, OK.

U know whenever anyone drives in India one should remember to be aware of trucks specially at night based on personal experience 😢

Why denouncing trucks?? They drive in lanes and show better decipline than car drivers who know shit about driving. I am a biker and feel better near trucks than cars.

Bro you are way better than other bikers who set a day Target of 600 km and stay in a room comfortably. Night riding is like dream. Also do always carry mosquito repellent cream specially during night.

It always puzzles me that they hide the chargers? Many on your trip are almost inaccessible, if you were driving an EV car it would make things very difficult. Great videos Marc, I have never missed a single one.
