I’ve been a Ford man since I was a kid but no matter what the make or model you have to like and appreciate the amount of effort and love that anyone puts into a build. This car looks and sounds amazing, nothing beats a father and son combo too. Awesome video Howard, can’t wait to see more just like it. (And some color on BOSSXC)

I had a blue over silver series 2 1988 VL Calais, long gone now regrettably. It will always be my favourite car. At the time it was a weird relationship with the car, I got to a point where I’d done so much (stupid stuff) to it that I began to, not neglect it, but I’d get frustrated and give it a hard time. It certainly wasn’t the car becoming unreliable, it was my being young and not knowing better and just buying parts that others were using without knowing really what I was doing. It was quick no doubt, but so poorly done (by me) that it would be on jacks more than the road. Kid I sold it to ironed it out and was so much quicker and bulletproof until he ran out of talent and wrote it off. Glad to see a young bloke doing things right

Very well presented car, it’s good and bad when a car cuts across many categories when comes to show judging, but at least it can be used, a bit abused and turn heads without being a trailer queen. Anyone would be more than proud to have a car of that caliber.

Hard call to make from a judges perspective, when cars are finished off at this level with huge investments in time and dollars. Just because it has a number plate attached to it doesn't make it a street car either - a lot of people are trying to blur that line, where they are really competition cars.

I have my 35 year old Holden VL Commodore wrapped up in a car cover until I can totally get off the dole & restore it, it's like just about every prospective employer is waiting for one of me to send it to Sims Metal to get it scrapped because it's been off the road for 13 years now. It ran a Nissan RB30DE engine which I built for it 18 years ago. Oh,my Holden VY SS Commodore which has a tuned 5.7 litre Chevrolet LS1 V8 engine fitted into it with full Genie headers,200 cell per inch catalytic converters ,g a twin 2.5" exhaust system bolted onto it ran out of rego on Monday. I suppose they're waiting for me to send that one to Sims Metal too & buy one of their cars before they look at employing me !
