MPW's Twin-Turbo Big Block Ford Capri Unvieled At MotorEx 2023

Adam Rogash’s 1970 Mech 1 Ford Capri has been a solid nine-month build with wife Kelly, pushing really hard in the final months leading upto Meguiar’s MotorEx 2023. Spending most of their life in the shed after hours building this tough track car, even the kids helping and hanging out was the only way Adam got to spend time with the kids.

In america back in 1983 I had a 1973 Capri with the carbureted 2.8 V6. I installed a 1968 283 SBC with a Powerglide because the oil pan had to clear the rackNpinion. I also installed 1968 Mercury Cougar Tail lights. Ah, if you only kept some of your creations from when you were young.

The stance of the car may have a racing, or limited front wheel geometry/space reason, but it really erks me. It's the opposite of what you'd expect a car of that caliber going at the expected speed would usually be and doesn't make sense to me.

If they call it a "street car" they can run in the "street car" class at the drags, big thing in "Merica" where rules and regulations are different. Guys in Australia are just living the 'Merican dream. Calling most of the "street cars" we get here in Straya, with tubs, cages, chutes, dumps is very lose, and no, none would pass a roadworthy inspection, even with a "engineering certificate". But, in the end they can call them what they want, until they get pulled over by their local authorities
