I love the secondary, obviously ... who doesn't? Magnificent play. And depth. I really like what I saw from all the LBs too, with very few exceptions. And, again, depth there. Excellent in the back seven. I think the issue is the front four. Not that they were bad against A&M or anything. They fought, and they won plenty. But I think over the course of the season, for this whole defense to be "elite," ND needs to see something more from Oben, more plays by Mills, and excellent play by back ups: when Traore gets going, when Hinish can be limited to fewer plays (meaning Rubio returns), when Onye ups his game, when Young and Mukam develop into rotation play ... assuming health ... the sky is the limit for the DL and the whole D. Liked what I saw from Botehlo and Cross, for sure. Excited about this team. Golden is golden.

Elko recruited most of those guys as he was the DC 3 years ago at A&M.

only bad thing about ND's defense last year was they could not tackle. showed up in big spots, was a GLARING issue vs Louisville. That was one of my biggest worries going into Saturday but those boys were laying the wood on defense. -lifelong ND fan from Florida

great work guys, hate that ND had to face that juggernaut bama team in 20’. don’t know if there’s answer for mac, najee and devonte.

ND isn’t a good team, the Aggie offense was that bad.
