@LADbible i think growing up in NZ my household would have thinly buttered marmite with thin cheese slices you cut yourself and mashed eggs and lettuce its more of a savoury taste that can be eaten for lunch along with using it in mince stews or gravy❤❤❤

If you do nz marmite again it's best to have toast with melted margarine or butter on it and a small spread of marmite. That's how us kiwis have it and it tastes really good. It's not supposed to have heaps of marmite. You only need a little bit for it to hit the spot 😊

Hey, Speights isn't good, but it's not the worst we have. Haagen, Steinlager, Tui (somehow both sickly sweet and harsh at the same time), and DouBro are all miles worse. Speights' worst sin is being mid. Still not a patch on DB Draught though where Kiwi macro brews are concerned.

it's alright but it's something you eat before school all kids i know ate it every once in a while, i haven't had it as an adult but i would sometimes use vegemite in dishes as it's a stronger flavor, like solidified oyster sauce and if you know the umami taste you know you can blindfold somebody so they can't see the jar and mix a spoonful of vegemite/marmite in a soup and they will think it's some exotic miso soup. i think people just hear "vegemite/marmite" and judge it before they've tried it properly and they don't even portion it out right and also like in this video they use brown bread instead of white and also no butter = all of the wrongs which is why they give up, maybe the hosts set it like that because as you can hear they are Australian, not NZers.

These arent even quintessential nz snacks. Marmite sucks, the only things you really got right was the choc fish and twisties. Wheres the maggi noodles? Raro? Pineapple lumps, peanut slab, chips and onion dip, pics anything, whittakers anything, kumara chips, anything from proper crisps or copper kettle, L&P- i can literally go on and on
