Basic? I’d be happy getting a 2005 Chrysler Sebring that hadn’t had its oil changed in 15,000 miles. My father had a 1972 dodge demon that didn’t have power windows or powered locks. Or a button to unlock the trunk, it only had a key. I wouldn’t consider that basic.

I was at the factory during production startup of the Thinks to support the local production engineers. At that time the Karma production line was halted due to economics (++), not sure if they actually ever came into any production numbers to speak of. They went out of business in 2012, after about the same numbers produced as the A306. The Boxter line was running at the time, but at half speed. Not sure if I would call it a fair comparison, but sure. Call it a downgrade if you like. Seems to me the Karmas had their issues as well...

Data about this car: Manufactured by Valmet in Finland in 2010. 30 kW motor. Li-Ion battery from Enerdel. Could not find any information about capacity. Even though this car was not manufactured in Norway it's definitely a Norwegian car. It started way back in 1970's. Development and production was done in Norway until 2009. Ford did own the company for a few years, but sold it in 2002. In 2006 Think was owned by Norwegian entrepreneurs again. Later in 2006 a guy from California visted Think. He wanted to cooperate, but the Think team didn't have faith in his plans and turned the offer down. His name was Martin Eberhard. His company was Tesla.

To the store or to work and back or to pick up and drop off a test car,. Especially during this pandemic, I have been driving so much less, my Tesla feels like overkill. 200 plus miles is just fine when you only go 30 miles at the most in a day.

@@Valsiphez Indeed! Yes, a lot has happened. I bought a Leaf in 2015, live in Trondheim and thought I "had" to get one from Oslo as cars normally are much cheaper there. Luckily I got one much closer. But I planned the route, it would almost be impossible to drive that stretch in that car solely on public chargers. Had to charge on schuko 2 times from very low SOC to 100%. Today, even winter, there are QC's and type2 so often it's no problem.
