I’ve lived with Teslas. They have the ‘potential’ to be the best. There are numerous issues that’s keeps it from being the best.
@LastWish90
@LastWish90 17 күн бұрын
Like, build quality and service quality for example ? Luckily no more major issues with mine, since the vehicle warranty ended, hope it stays that way. The only problem I have currently is that the Heatpump spits out some errors in Service mode. Maybe there is too much coolant in there or they didn't evacuate it properly when they changed it under warranty. Another problem is Rust at the contact point of the mudflaps on the side fenders, I have aftermarket ones already, and will have to clean that up and put some paint on it, but I can only do that once it gets warmer here, but a professional painter it, it will probably last a good while, he can do it, but would need to remove the whole fender to do a proper job, he would leave it like that if it was his car.

@ There is no best. Best is subjective to the individual. A Tesla may be the best for a part of the EV population but all you have to do is a search on KZbin for Tesla problems. Constant rattles and creeks issues and other fit and finish issues. Door handles where the kick out motor fails at least once a year. Now that’s not saying that other EVs don’t suffer from the same issues, as we all know they do but labeling a product the best when it’s clearly still a work in progress is just silly. Most redefined is probably a more accurate description for Teslas. They are literally years ahead in the software side of EVs and Tesla was way ahead in the battery side but China is catching up quick and so are some of the US makers. So for me, and this is just my opinion, I would call Tesla the most refined EV on the market today.
@malcewicz
@malcewicz 17 күн бұрын
@@joeyabb1965 I get your point and mostly agree. I guess we have a slightly different understanding of what "best" means. To me "best" in this case means "better than the current competition" which I think Tesla clearly is. This does not mean it's without flaws, because it's far from perfect. Another way I like to look at this is that every EV so far has one thing that it's "the best" at, whether that would be range, charging performance, comfort, etc., but what Tesla offers is not "the best" in each of the categories, but a consistent "good" or "very good" in all, while other manufacturers always compromise - for example BMWs great comfort but horrible efficiency and range.

Crazy that it gets 90km more range compared to your Sunday drive test in Norway... And add to that, it seems like the battery is in worse conditions.. lower calculate capacity... Huge difference... Is speed lower? Are you going more downhills or what do you think is the reason behind such low consumption compared too your other test earlier this year... I cannot be the 10 degree warmer climate alone....

The drive from Chiang Mai to Bangkok results in a slight net elevation loss (less than 3 kWh gain in energy) - this does not play into a big factor because 3 kWh of energy is not much. High temperatures play a big factor because hotter air is less dense - which means less drag at higher speeds. The biggest factor that impacts EV efficiency is drag, not so much on weight.
@bjornnyland
@bjornnyland 16 күн бұрын
