Great overview Elbow! iMPC Pro 2 is great and really great if you have an MPC desktop unit because you can chop samples, create kits and sequences while on the go and then import them into the desktop software and use them in your MPC Live, X, Ren, Touch, etc. Now that the app.also runs on the iPhone you can do all of that literally from anywhere! I have been a beta tester of the app. for a few years now. Retronyms and Akai have really been working hard to add features and fix problems/support the apps. Peace

Thanks for sharing this content. Actually I wonder, in what depth the workflow of iMPC Pro2 and MPC One+ is comparable? I consider to switch from DAW to MPC for the creative process as I’m fed up with looking at the monitor and tackling the mouse for another 2-3 hours after 8 hours home office. After tons of KZbin videos, I think a MPC could do the job. But before investing in hardware, I wonder if iMPC Pro 2 could give a fair preview.

Hi, do you pretend to make fututre tutorials on sampling using inter app input option? I just bought that app but I am struggling with my samples cause when I tried to sample from Blocks Wave for example, the sound is distorded don't know why. If I use audio bus in between, the sound become normal but then IMPC can't can't detect the sound. And automatic arm is useless, not working. Very strange. I saw you have blocks wave too, have you already tried to sample from it or by audiobus, and dd it work for you?

Important question: How does iMPC 2 work alongside Beatmaker 3? I'm new and have already bought both apps. I really like Beatmaker 3 but I want to know how I can use it together with iMPC 2? ... not against it. Any suggestions on ways to use them together and possibly get the best of both worlds? Or are the two apps incompatible at the plugin level, etc.? Putting it another way.. Is it possible to use both programs together on the same song project? And in what scenarios would that actually make sense? When or where will iMPC 2 provide an advantage when used over or with Beatmaker 3? Also, does iMPC 2 eliminate the need for Akai hardware? And have you ever used your Akai MPC Live beat machine together with Beatmaker 3? hahahaha A lot of questions! Awesome tutorials, by the way. I ask these questions because I'm thinking of making BeatMaker 3 the only app that I use going into the future unless the iMPC 2 app, for example, can somehow provide additional or supplemental functionality! I already bought most of the sound packs on Beatmaker 3, for example. It's awesome! I'm willing to buy a chunk of the iMPC 2 sound packs if the program can be somehow used in conjunction with Beatmaker 3. Thanks!

Wow! First off, thanks for reaching out Danubis! I have both apps and having these apps work together from a software compatibility stand point won’t work. But base on what gets your creative juices flowing, working with both apps and bringing those elements together is just as easy as steming tracks out of iMPC Pro and bringing them into BM3 as audio files! I do this all the time when producing on my MPC or Machine or any other platform that inspires me that day. Lastly, iMPC Pro can not replace an MPC live! iMPC pro is similar to its uncle but their definitely not the same! ✌🏾

This app is a joke, no way to copy tracks, no direct 1:1 support for the MPD or MPC Studio controllers, and when you bounce a project you can't set up the specs for the file to be rendered, heck you can't even choose where the file is saved. I can't believe I paid for this junk.

Has the sound importing and editing been fixed? It crashed every time I tried to edit any waveform which left it completely broken for me.
