True. Buuut... The reason they were never friends and such bitter enemies was because of what they didn't have in common. Marcy was very self-righteous and hypocritical, and Al just didn't give a shit. He didn't care what people thought of him, so he had no problem calling anyone out. And Marcy was begging to be called out. Because she was always about keeping up with the Jones', and lecturing and virtue signaling like a typical Karen. Partly why Al got along much better with Jefferson than Marcy or even with Steve. Jefferson didn't respect Marcy, and Al hated her.
