bourbon street does NOT close down mardi gras night at midnight.....TRUST ME. the cops stroll down the street as a formality tellin' everyone mardi gras is "officially" over. just go into a bar or go to another street in the quarters for @ a half hour or so & you can go back to bourbon. i've done this for soooo many years. bourbon st. NEVER closes.
