Hi Marek! Great video as usual. Here in Hungary, Suzuki is very popular (there is a big factory in Esztergom). I haven't checked numbers, but I suspect there are more Suzuki dealers than Toyota dealers here, and I see many more Suzukis on the road than Toyotas. There is something to be said for buying from a dealer with which you have a pre-existing relationship (because you bought a Vitara or Swift or ... from them before) and for being able to service your Swace at the same dealer that services your spouse's Vitara or Swift, etc. Suzuki also has a loyalty program that gives discounts on new cars and servicing and offers service plans and road side assistance that would also cover your Swace. So, in the Hungarian context, I can see the reasons to buy a Swace over a Corolla.
@MarekDrives3 жыл бұрын
One thing is buying Suzuki made in Hungary, but if the car is made in the UK, would it also be popular?
@utubesuxbigdonkeybal3 жыл бұрын
@@MarekDrives I am just a foreigner living here, so I cannot dive too far into the Hungarian psyche. With that said, according to Suzuki they are the number one brand in Hungary in terms of new car sales for the last five years in a row. It is true that a lot of those sales are the Hungarian made Vitara (and, to a much lesser extent, the Hungarian made S-Cross), but the Japanese manufactured Swift is also still very popular here. I think there is much more demand for cars like the Vitara and Swift, but I am not surprised if the Swace can "ride their coat-tails" in the Hungarian market.
@seedr86823 жыл бұрын
@@utubesuxbigdonkeybal the only reason is the price. Suzuki swift and vitara is available for long term loan , doesn't require so much service etc. But now, but the swace costs the same as the toyota... meh. I don't think so, maybe if the parts will be way more cheaper compared to the competitor.

Because they review cars based on a script and how much they are paid for it, and they like to compare 35k euro car to 120k euro car. Ok, if it is noisy, tell us what you are comparing it too. "Why on earth would you buy a Suzuki?" (and not a Toyota instead): a bit more fairness in prices, not so many bells and whistles to extra pay for (simple and pragmatic), extended warranty. But rest assured that if you buy a Swace, most of your cash will go into Toyota's pockets anyway. Otherwise they wouldn't have agreed to sign the deal with Suzuki. In my view, Suzuki is among the very few brands who sell fair priced cars, with honest marketing and less strings attached. So, they need to be supported further, to cover also this market segment (buyers more oriented to utility and simplicity rather than "the looks", with a straight-forward approach in respect to this commodity called "a mean of transportation from point A to point B with reasonable safety conditions, practicality and efficiency).

I test drove the swace yesterday. The difference is the model and trim levels. Toyota has 1.2, 1.8 and 2.0 engine choice swace has 1.8. Toyota has 5 trim levels. Swace has two. Swace basic level is similar to corollas middle trim level. And swace highest trim level is almost but not quite like corollas top trim. Swace lacks some interior options like white/light seats and white roof lining. My opinion is swace trim level suits my needs better than toyotas trim level.

If Suzuki had found out about 3 cylinder turbo engines when everyone else did, their cars would of been so much better.
@phil84373 жыл бұрын
They had, and it is the 1.0 3 cylinder boosterjet turbo charged engine as found in the Swift and the Baleno. This engine was first produced in 2012 and is from a technical and longevity point far superior than the Ford Ecoboost (first produced 2009), Citroen/Peugeot/ Vauxhall Puretech engines (first produced 2012) or VW TSI engine (first produced 2015.) The reason is that the Suzuki engine has a camchain and has been rigorously tested. The Ecoboost and Puretech engines have what they call a cambelt in oil arrangement which can snap causing massive engine damage. The Ecoboost engine can also suffer from several other issues such as overheating and coolant loss. The VW engine can suffer from carbon build up causing worn valve guides.

Hi Makar126 I have driven both models September 2021 as in the Suzuki Swace Estate and the Toyota 1.8 Hybrid Sports ( Estate) I was not pleased with the Swace far too basic and no Sat Nav etc and not all mobile phones will work in the USB for Goggle maps. (Swace). Yes I have ordered the Toyota Corolla 1.8 Hybrid Tech Sports ( Estate ) which should arrive sometime this October 2021 and I had no problems getting a proper spare wheel included in the price as long as you order that along with the new car at the time PS you may have to wait a little longer for your car to arrive :) so after considering all costs on both models etc and not having to pay for all the extra's with Suzuki. The Toyota was my choice for me:) Note Toyota done away with the 1.2 cc which would not pull you out of bed lol . Yes if your a boy/girl racer then look into the 2.0 Toyota Sports Hybrid mileage in and a round 50 miles to the gallon and the new Toyota Trek Estate model is the flag ship and well fitted out but not value for money in my opinion oh and in passing I did not have to pay for Metallic paint so once again make sure you sort that out before ordering your new car. Total cost around £26,500 Toyota Corolla Hybrid 1.8 Tech Sports ( Estate) in sterling UK. Note still waiting for Suzuki to send me an email and quotation !! for all the extra's I requested as in the Toyota Corolla Hybrid 1.8 Tech Sports I have ordered but I was given a ball point figure around and close to £28, 000 plus. In passing I requested 16 inch wheels as most of them are 17 inch and my dealer was able to carry out that request with no problems:) again make sure you tell the sales person all that before you order your car and get a written quote. Being honest I was keen to look into an EV 100% electrical cars and was put off by the lack of charging points in my area Glengormley Co Antrim N.Ireland UK and not over keen on the mileage from one charge :( how ever I am very sure batteries or EV cars will advance with longer lasting batterie's sadly to date I could only find 4 charging points with in my area and all were slow chargers around 5 to 6 hours charging and the biggest Super Market Tesco N.Ireland have no plans to fit charging points this year 2021 but will have a basic charge and that includes all the major petrol stations with in my area so the EV's with me our out in the meantime. Please note well I am not a car dealer but I used to stock car race and know a thing or two about cars and engines and I even looked into the MG Estate and in fairness the sales person did confirm the MG Estate EV as with most of them will give you less mileage per charge in the winter months which I must respect. From my research I feel the word (HYBRID) Is being missed used just to sell cars but more so the Suzuki dealers as their cars our not Hybrids but in fact a mini/micro batteries and yes you may get an extra 10% per tank of fuel so in short the public should make sure they understand the big difference between EV/s/ Hybrids and Mini or micro Hybrids or as they say call them now days electrical assist !!! on my test drive over 33 miles I was able to use the EV mode 56% but when on the Motorway 70 miles' per hour and a little more fuel lol so I used more of the engine so combined EV I got a round 59 /63 miles to the gallon Toyota 1.8 Corolla Sports ( Estate) Note the Sports mode button is a gimmick but it sounds cool hahah. I hope the information I have typed up is helpful and again I don't work for any car dealer full stop but it all comes down what funds you have in your pocket and don't be shy looking discount but more so your requirements' for any make or model of any car. Passing note most Mild/Medium Hybrids will be handy for short trips say into the local town or village or school run or slow traffic etc but I must stress if you head onto major roads but more so Motorways make sure you keep your fuel tank topped up. PPS no Hybrid's likes steep hills as my test drive was on flat roads and up hill on the Motorway just a pity the reeves our a little high once you go over 55 mph on the Motorway's but they will settle down. Note UK & N.Ireland speed limited to 70 mph but as I stated above consider the 2.0 litre if you do long Motorways drives :) Note top speed around 110 MPH not that I would break the speed limit :) nor would I encourage any car driver to break their local speeding laws.
