The app A Better Route Planner is the best to plan an EV journey. The paid version allows to pair the app with an OBDII dongle and thus have planning based in real data.

Please, allow me to suggest the next video: A comparation between Android Automotive, BMW iOs, Mercedes OS and Tesla infotainment.

The same problem in Spain. For example, the Zunder stations, which is one of the largest charging networks here, do not appear, and yet a lot of common brands in France, Germany, Holland, etc...appears... but they do not exist here.

Thanks for the insight. Android Automotive for EVs seems not as good, as one may have hoped :(

With the system being android, you’d think there would be Voice Recognition!! “OK Google switch on the Wipers, OK Google switch on the lights etc .. At least you wouldn’t have to take your eyes off the road.

I believe PowerDot is portuguese... EFACEC, the 50kW DC chargers manufacturer, is portuguese.

Polish drivers :))) good humor!

"Only Polish drivers will cut in front of you" Classic comment Marek!! I love the look of this EX30 but I don't get why they make it so small. The back seat room is horrible. I also don't get why they haven't attacked the main big category for sales ie Model Y size SUV ie they should have prioritized the EX60.
@MarekDrivesENG2 ай бұрын
This is clearly not a model for NA, but in Europe we need smaller, cheaper EVs. Whether Volvo's on to something with the EX30 or not you'll find out soon enough. Or sooner, if you become a Channel Member :)
@odracirsotam2 ай бұрын
They have the EX40 for that, although not a direct match in size...
@kevinn11582 ай бұрын
@@odracirsotam The EX40 as you said is not in the same class and it’s not a dedicated platform. It’s just the XC40 ICE platform. And quite frankly it’s over priced.
@odracirsotam2 ай бұрын
@@kevinn1158 I know, but until a proper new model is launched, it's their batler. They now have the EX90 plus EX30 and the competition the D segment, specially domestic, Geely is chinese, is growing every day (e.g. ONVO). I'm sure they will soon show their EX40/EX60.

I have had a Volvo xc60 since 2022 and never again. Volvo and software is no good. Still not working

I don't like Google Automotive in cars because of, well, Google. It's fine if it's completely offline. Carplay is perfectly fine with Waze (I know I know, Waze is Google and I'm not happy with that!)

I kind of agree but it’s also true that car makers are CRAP at software. Google is also kind of crap but a ton better than the best auto maker.
@MarekDrivesENG2 ай бұрын
@mariob4735 you may not realise it, but there is a growing number of cars with infotainment system running Google software, but keeping their own interface. Running from Google is like trying to avoid Amazon Web Services. Good luck. gizmodo.com/i-tried-to-block-amazon-from-my-life-it-was-impossible-1830565336

It's pretty terrible. I'm also not expecting it to receive updates. I think it will have the same issues with fragmentation of updates like Android did in the 2010s. I would rather have the infotainment of a Suzuki Swift or a Kia Rio, even those are much more usable.
