Thanks for more excellent tips Mike . As I told you in the live feed last Sunday my wife and I are going on our first ever cruise in December and we find your videos extremely helpful. We are currently using our cruise planner to book excursions so your tips are coming in very useful. On another point , in the TUI app it says boarding passes are no longer required. I have spoken to my local TUI staff in store and they said that it was news to them and couldn’t understand why this was so, which is very worrying to us

Hi Phil, a big thank you for watching and for your lovely comments, really gives us such encouragement when we know people are finding the information useful. When you say boarding pass i presume you mean the ship boarding pass and not the flight one. I have not heard of the ship pass no longer being required. I would be inclined to ring the following number which is customer services and they should be able to tell you for sure. Tel [phone]. Everything i have seen on the internet still suggests you need this. I would say that i don't think they are usually available to print until 48hrs before you sail. Think i would ring the number i have given and just confirm it. Hope that helps.🙂

Hi, thanks for watching, so happy you have found the video's useful. There are outside cabins right near where you exit the lift area. We always try to keep a little distance away which is why pre booking your cabin is a good idea so you can avoid the noisy areas. We have never heard or seen any noisy passengers by the lifts or when walking along the corridors, most people are quite considerate but having one away from them reduces a risk. Hope this helps. 🙂

Hi, Yes you can but they are quite bulky and if you lose them you will have to pay £10 per towel. We always advise to look at the microfibre beach towels, they are large and wrap up to nothing, they also weigh a lot less for carrying. 🙂

Hi Leanne. If we are talking Caribbean we would not do the 'Touring Tortola & Beach'. The only thing that rescued this trip was our last stop which was a beautiful beach. In future we would just get a taxi to Long Bay east and save a lot of money. We would also not do or recommend the Tobago South trip, very rushed, not very interesting stops but the best guide we have ever had, but no guarantees of that. Everything else we did was very good. 🙂

You make a very good point and i would imagine that most suitcases would fit this way. Our problem is we have the split beds so we can't get them in length ways, double bed set up would work though. 🙂

Hello Guys, received sad news a short time ago, Marella cruise on the Discovery 2 is cancelled - 7th November 2024 'Spanish Flavour'. Why? Due to necessary repairs on the ship, and the flash floods in Spain, particularly in Valencia, one the ports I was due to visit. Praying for the people in Spain at this time.🙏💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Hi Patricia, i am so sorry to hear of this news. It has to be quite serious for a cruise to be cancelled but what 🙏has happened in Valencia is pretty horrific and hard to take in and i would imagine is the main reason, although Discovery2 is an older ship and i think is due a refit early next year. We really enjoyed Valencia so it is so sad to see what has happened and to see how people there have suffered. Do you get the opportunity to rebook? 🙏🙁

@@midatravel Hello, here is a snippet from the email. "You may already be aware that Marella Discovery 2 is currently undergoing some maintenance in Cadiz. Unfortunately, due to the extreme weather conditions in southern Spain which you’ll have seen in the news, we’ve had to pause some of the necessary work and extend our maintenance period. Sadly, this means that we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel your cruise. While the situation is beyond our control, we appreciate how disappointing this news will be". I was given these three options; two were to rebook or book any Tui holiday on sale( both offer reductions £'s), you must book before the 18th November 2024. Third option a full refund plus additional £'s... I've not decided what to do, meantime, I'm looking at where else Marella cruises are sailing. Warm and sunny please, open to suggestions guys! xx🙏😘😘

@@patriciaanne4449 Hi Patricia, its so sad for people who have not only been affected by conditions in Valencia but also for everyone who has had the cruise cancelled having looked forward to it for so long. I don't t think they would make the decision lightly, it will cost them a lot of revenue. Have a look at the last minute cruises on the Marella/tui website. Ill put the link so hope it works. www.tui.co.uk/cruise/deals/last-minute-cruises Dont think its worked as a clickable link but either copy and paste or just search in google for last minute marella cruises. There are some good ones on there with some good savings. I think if its the weather you are looking for then the 'Island Explorer' cruise to the Canaries is possible. If you are happy with a 5 day Atlantic crossing the repositioning cruise from Tenerife to the Caribbean is a fantastic price, 7th Dec for 17 nights at £1528. The Canary cruises are about £850 for 7 nights. Good luck in re-booking, we all need some winter sun. Let us know what you do xx

Still £10 a blue towel. fridges now removed, not environmental friendly. rumours being eventually replaced for eco ones. Note, in the Caribbean wearing anything camouflage including head wear /backpacks is illegal and can get heavy fines, camo reserved for islands serving military only.

Thanks for letting us know John, nice to know thats one price that hasn't gone up. Good advice regarding 🙂camouflage, many people have fallen foul of that one on a Caribbean Island. Always best to check.
