Part Four (Monday) - Funchal, Madeira.
Part Five (Tuesday) - Our Anniversary Celebration and ship tour.
Part Six (Wednesday) - Arrecife, Lanzarote.
Part Seven (Thursday) - Purto Del Rosario, Fuerteventura.
Part Eight (Friday) - Home day starting at Santa Cruz Tenerife.

Booked for this again for April 2021, on the Explorer had this year's cancelled, first cruise can't wait.

Hope you have a great time Anne ...haven't done that ship yet ... but hopefully next year we can get a couple of cruise in to make up for this years calamities :)

@@AdeReeves yes hope you do, we rebooked 6th April for Canaries and 14th July for cosmopolitan also on Explorer, we hope to At least get one of them, hope you are both well and cruising again soon.

@@annedunlop2963 That's great news...I need to get a move on by the sounds of it...I think you will enjoy the Explorer far more than the Dream...To be honest the Dream way past its best and i cant understand why they have kept it and not replaced it with so many wonderful ships finding there way to the scrap yard. The celebration has gone from the fleet and was far better. :)

Going on the Dream in just under 3 weeks time. What time was the muster on the opening night in Tenerife? My flight is reasonably late that day.

Hi David... As i recall it was somewhere between 7-8, as we also had a late flight and after a Very long day where we had been awake over 15 hours up to that point alone the last thing we needed was to be refused service after paying extra for it.. some other tips i would give you is to hold on very tightly when boarding the buses at the airport to and carry on luggage that you really need to stay with you ... Both me and the wife had small bags and the coach driver forcibly ripped them off us under protest and threw them in the coach storage...they had NO luggage labels on them and contained medication and a change of cloths, all of which didn't matter to anyone we complained too, this then meant the wife was vulnerable so i tried to get them back after dismounting the bus, the driver didn't want to know and we where told they would turn up at reception eventually...nice... As soon as we got to our cabin ironically i got a call from reception stating i had to go there immediately, so i naturally thought the bags turned up, i was wrong...They had not booked us in correctly and needed to see both our passports again, the bags they did not really care about. As we was celebrating too i tried to arrange a little something to remember the cruise, I was told i could book something at guest relations and pay the extortionate charge...no thanks...i was only after a door banner (which Henry the cabin boy got bless him). or a cheap bottle. Also i would defiantly recommend you spend as much time eating as possible in the main restaurant, as the times we went there the service and food was impeccable, the buffet restaurants could hardly manage to cook chips without screwing it up so we had a lot of them/ fruit & salad and ice cream... but go early to the main one as the cues get very long very quick (due to the buffet)...Also skip the outside catering (Paganini station ect)..its not great either ... In all we did have a good time and met some great people but this is the second time we have been on this ship in 5 years and our twentieth cruise with TUI ..it WILL be the last time on the Dream but of course everyone has different tastes. we just found it lacking compared to the Marella Discovery 2 we did in July 2018 (both food quality and drinks package variance was superior in every way ) and the Dream was not a patch on the friendliness and all round great food and service on the old island escape which in no way was as upmarket as the appearance of the dream..let me know how you get on, and lets see lots of vlogs :) .. BTW...let us know how difficult it is to get a straw...we where told you could ONLY have them with frozen drinks...then they randomly turn up in normal ones...it all made no sense.but was a great guessing game to keep us occupied while waiting (you will do a lot of that). PS..if you do have issues don''t bother complaining to Tui, i got involved with 3 different email chains with 3 different "support staff" and each one was a scripted email word for word. I really hope you enjoy the cruise...its not a bad ship and there are some great people on it (cabin stewards especially), its just not the best of fleet and Tui do seem to be running it on a shoestring. But like us..we made it OUR holiday and with all the niggles had a great celebration and saw some nice areas. Best Regards A.
