We were on her when she was the Home lines Homeric on her 5th cruise when she came out in 1986 .In the praide of ships for the reopening of the stature of Liberty on the 4th of July 1986 !!

Been with Thomson 3 times now. 2 x Celebration and 1 x Dream. Had a fab time on all 3. The Thomson fleet are older, smaller ships which are more intimate than some of the modern, huge floating cities. If you want to be a number, then book one of these new ships.

+Visof There are several components to cutting costs during cruise trips. One resource I found that succeeds in merging these is the Carls Cruise Cutter (google it if you're interested) it's the best plan that I've seen.look at the extraordinary information .

Was on the Dream last week. It has [allegedly] become 'Platinum' ship. Looking at this vid from 2011, the ship is exactly the same in 2013. So where does the platinum status come in?. Whinging aside, we had a fabulous cruise as always with Thomson, going again on the Celebation next June.

Why does this cruise line use such OLD tired ships. I sailed on this a hundered years ago when is was the part of Holland America, and before that it was the Homeric. They also sail the old Noordam which was a rust bucket back then. Can they not afford a new ship?

I was on this ship with my family this year 2013, I will NEVER go back on this noisy ship, our rooms must of been by the engine room the noise was horrendous,when the ship was docking in the morning the cabins shook I complained and they offered me 4 sets of ear plugs.the staff was great but the food was poor and cold also,be prepared for the queues when you want to eat,the cabin was dirty and the sink was broke I could go on and on but you will see for yourself if you dare to board this ship??

Some people just fault everything. You're ungrateful, that's it. I know a LOT of people who would have loved to have been on that cruise! Do you know how many people are on that ship? The chefs did a REMARKABLE job of cooking everyone's food. I'd honestly like to see you travel and work on that ship for more than half a year, no days off apart from the 5-6 months you spend off in the winter, away from family and friends for months on end. Yet they were still so happy! You appall me, you honestly do.

Only cruise company that charges £15 for the sale away party. These ships are old and tired. Food is awful. Only people on there first cruise ever. Think that Thomson Tui are a good company to cruise with. The ship is constantly being painted when in port to cover up the rust marks.

Drew Morgan not really it costs £900 each its all inclusive and stops at very expensive ports like barcalona (£27000) each day and Monte Carlo etc if you go on the ship and experience it you’ll see for yourself

looks old and not liking the music out on the decks sounds like a holiday camp, engines sound noisy too, think I'll give this ship a miss.

This ship is old and dated. For not much more, you could go on a much newer ship such as Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas, I don't know why people are willing to pay stupid money to go on a run down ship like Thomson Dream!

Might be old but you get the personnel touch unlike the newer/larger/human battery farm type cruise ships. Oh... and you wont be on it thankfully.
