I love how you embellished your pulls, so creative. I did mine on a page in my art journal using acrylics spritzed with a little water and kite string. I closed the journal so it gave a nice even surface to lay my hand on, pulled the string, and wha-la! I think using a piece of cardboard or something firm like this over the paper helps distribute the pressure more evenly like closing the book over it did.

Oh. My. Gosh. Just watching the first few seconds brought back so many memories. You would not believe me but you are the second person in this world I know that used string and paint to create such beautiful artwork. The last time I saw something similar to this was over 20 years ago when my father came home from work one day and showed my sister and I how to make art by using string, paint, paper. On a folded piece of paper, one my side my dad dipped the string into paint and laid it on one side of the paper, next he folded the paper in half, holding it down and pulled the string. I was so amazed what came about after he unfolded the paper. Thank you for this video!! I will definitely do this !

We used to do this in pre-school and I loved it then and I still love it now. To get the best results I use fountain pen ink in different colours and a heavy book on top of the paper covering the string. The fountain pen ink is easily absorbed by the string and pigmented giving a better colour distribution while the heavy book distributes the pressure for better details. I enjoy watching your videos 😊😊
