Oh Marta I completely agree with you. If we don’t love our projects then how can we expect anyone else to. Some projects will always turn out better than others, but that’s just the way it happens sometimes. I have loved using rice papers recently too. Marta, you do it EVERY time! Every make starts lovely but about half way through I can’t seem to understand where you are going and how you are going to pull it all together. I should never doubt as somehow the Marta Magic takes over (just a little bit 😊) and ‘poof’ it always ends gorgeous! Please tell Emily that all of her virtual aunties are so glad she’s feeling better and so proud of her and her class for being number 1!

Beautiful! Blue is my favorite color. I hope Emily continues to get better. My mom had scarlet fever as a child and back then (probably early 1940’s), they quarantined the house. No one could go anywhere. Thankfully, they have better treatments today.

The flu is going around in the states now. So you and Dad need to take care of yourselves. You know you have so many that have grown to love all of you. You are truly a very special person, we love your crafting ideas. You know that there so many artists of the past that loved their work, but other did not appreciate it. Then years later everyone one says how great their art is. I believe many folks that craft would be surprised to see how their grandchildren and great grandchildren will treasure their crafts after they are gone. If you love it, and it makes you happy. Then it’s a masterpiece and you can bet someone will love it also. So, I’m so glade to hear you telling everyone to not be afraid to say, “I’m just loving it”. You all are in my prayers daily.

This was very inspirational, Marta. So happy to hear that Emily is on the mend and that Hannah escaped being ill. I find that sometimes when I am creating and I feel like it is beautiful and it is done and then I walk away and when I come back, it isn't quite right and usually I see what I need to do to make it right, for me. Hope Emily gets well soon. I had Scarletina when I was a child, I remember I was really sick with it. You hear of scarlet fever quite often, but not scarletina. I just started working in my art journal. For the longest time, I was terrified to try mixed media. I figured (after talking to a few crafters and watching you🤗) that I just had to jump in and go for it. So thank you Marta for being a huge inspiration and motivation for me to finally just go for it! Awww I love that =) And I like your "why not?" attitude so much. This is art, there are no rules how to do things. Art lives from experimenting and finding out about new techniques. Please, don't ever justify why you created something the way you did. You felt like it and that's fine. Btw: I like Rice Papers a lot, too. Got a whole bunch, enough for a lifetime. As for Emily and Hannah: Poor girls, glad Emily is better. As one of my teachers used ot say: You can't NOT communicate. So they communicated in another way than usually.
