Rustosie my husband named him Tyson...not the name I wanted but he’s happy. He will be 11 months old tomorrow.

Do you guys have a average size backyard? If so is he good in it?? We are planning to get a maremma and we have half an acre
@johannebrunner64773 жыл бұрын
Erica Browne we live on a 350 acre farm. He has a huge backyard. It would be hard to raise a dog such as this in an apartment. Or in a place where there is no area to play.

Loooove this video. I recently got a 11 week old Maremma and her name is Maggie. I've read so many things about this dog that sometimes makes me nervous if she'll be a happy dog with me and this video reminds me SOO much of Maggies personality so I'm just that much more confident in her and our lives together. Again, beautiful video...was nice to see :)

I hope this dog is doing well and is happy and still getting all that wonderful love! Guard dogs need a territory and a job in the real outdoors. I wonder if he feels like there is something else missing in his life but doesn't know what it is but it's out there somewhere or maybe he is just happy and content to be where he is and he does get outside enough to meet his all requirements.

We just lost our two Maremmas. 9 years old one from Diabetes and blindness. She was a tough faithful old soul and our big strong man from a low thyroid condition and a little heat stroke. Our big strong chico boy. Winderful dogs sadly missed

Just wish he had a herd to protect. That's what they do best and feel good about. It's not a show dog. i Also have Maremmano-Abruzzese. (Maremma) But they are lifestock guardians.

Both are great breeds of dogs but Rottweiler is propably a bit less work when it comes to training.

Insanely loyal lol Maggie (my Maremma) will bark at anything in the backyard but they are not good beginner dogs I learned that the hard way.

Same! How dud yours get on?
@vdofficialchannel98413 жыл бұрын
@@SF-lo3ob my dog got used to itz new homing conditions. One night of fuss and thats it. II dont think that having a dog in subarban is a big problem. I have spoken to the vet and she said that daily exercise is required. How is your yours getting along. The best thing about these dogs is that it can clean itself. Welcome to the Suburbian Mareema club

Love this video :') my 10 year old maremma Angel is getting put down today. I have no say in it since my uncle was looking after the dog since my nanna died. He wants her put down because he doesn't want her anymore -.- I asked if I could take her and begged him to let me have her but he just wants her dead and according to the SPCA, there's nothing I can do unless he says so. This world is unfair sometimes. She's a gorgeous dog... And I've known her since I was 5 -.-

I love maremmas, they're so dumb, still good dogs
@poiscnivys43764 жыл бұрын
They’re actually known to be very intelligent, wouldn’t call them dumb
@johnseabrook10294 жыл бұрын
True. They’re not dumb. Just not as obedient as some other breeds. Our girl is very affectionate to those she gets to know. Not the least bit aggressive. Barks a lot. That’s their purpose.
@genkal4 жыл бұрын
just because they don't follow your orders it doesn't mean there dumb. It's one of the most intelligent dog breeds. You, on the other side, are probably dumb.
@grantbeyea87414 жыл бұрын
@@genkal thank you for the important information. However I simply don't care, my use of the word "dumb" was to enforce the idea of them being frustrating and uncooperative. The insult adds nothing to your argument, thank you for contributing

Maremma is a sheepguard dog is not a Cocker spaniel.

Thanks for that information, I was very confused about that.

How sad that this wonderful dog was not given the opportunity of living life on a farm where he could serve a higher purpose rather than a life of stroking his owner's deficient ego prancing at a dog show.
@Yukidongo4 жыл бұрын
I'm watching, and wondering how miserable those dogs must be. I have Maremmas, and we also have one Maremma, Abkash, Pyr, Kangal, Karakachan mix. They prefer outside. They prefer to be working. Masters of the area they survey, and guardians of the goats, sheep, chickens...etc. Your "year in the life of a Maremma" was misleading. I wanted to see one work. Yours is a "year in the life of a lost dog"... Sad. They're not accessories. They're a guardian breed. Want accessories, get a Pomeranian. Ruination of the breed wiring...
