I don't think anyone's mentioned it but the characterization here is superb. Even great mlp songs tend to miss this, all of the lyrics and little skits and dialogue sounds so in character you'd forget it's fanmade. Awesome

Whether this isn't your best work or not, it's the first thing of yours I've ever heard, and I love it. It's really refreshingly different and unique and sounds like no other MLP music I've heard, even within a very creative fandom such as this. It could be polished up a bit, sure, but it's still very good. I like the way you layer the voices in some of the tracks, you don't often hear harmonies in hip hop or psychedelic rock and it sounds amazing! All the funk and jazz influence really ties the album together despite it exploring so many different genres. I really enjoyed this, excellent work!

Absolutely kicking myself for not listening to this earlier; this is just incredible. I'd wager these are some of the most creative and daring sounds coming out of the fandom, and all of it's just so damn catchy. My love for the surprise psychedelic guitar solo in Daisies is almost as strong as my love for mares themselves.

Alright, so overall thoughts on this one. I guess it's safe to say that this is probably not the strongest release from you, but it's definitely the most experimental which is respectable in it's own right. Reading the description, I can surely hear some moments where tracks didn't feel complete, possibly just the lack of vocal layering which was very present in Marecelium. This certainly comes off more as you challenging yourself into more complex field of writing, but with the time restraints you've described, they might not have been polished up as much as hoped. That aside, there were still some bangers on this album! My Name Is Pinkie is a catchy and upbeat opener, and I really like the Hendrix-inspired Heavy Psych/Acid Rock track with Daisies. But honestly, none of it compares to the Thrash-leaning Goodnight Ponyville! Holy Shit that song kicks ass! Definitely one of the best I've heard from you! Felt very King Gizzard-like but with your own fusions and styles thrown in. The whole ariel flight comms dialogue was super interesting, I assume a continuation of the story in Mare Vs Machine. Definitely coming back to this album for that track alone! The album has a strong Jazz and Funk flare to it which I can tell you can do very well. Some moments were a bit hard to discern, mixing-wise, and not all the melodies stuck unfortunately. The instrumentation, however, was always on-point! The closing track Rained In really shows the seriousness and sophistication of your songwriting and was the perfect way to end the album. As always, I love the soundscapes and instrumentation that comes with your work and I hope that the next one is more fitting to your schedule. It really just sounds like your worst enemy was the deadline in getting it out before Mare Fair. I understand personal deadlines completely, so I'm sure you had your reasons. Overall, this was a very pleasant listen and I'm glad to have caught this album early! Hopefully future listens will help some of these tracks grow on me!

Interesting. I always thought of the vocal doubling/extra layering as a "workaround" to the sound quality deficiencies of Controllable TalkNet but perhaps that was the wrong way to look at it. Also I made Rained In in like the 48 hours before I rendered the album video lol.

​@@vul5925 Yeah sadly until the A.I develops further, the vocals will always have some glitches, but there were definitely points on this album that felt better in terms of vocal quality. The overdubs tend to help smooth those over. But I wouldn't beat yourself up over that, this is still relatively new technology you're working with. It's bound to be challenging to successfully execute, and you certainly have the credibility! Marecelium is easily the best A.I-lead album I've ever heard (sure I haven't heard too many but it's still impressive regardless!
