I've watched a few different peoples' vids trying to pick this up, and the other people were fine teachers but you have really laid everything out in a super comprehensive way and I've got the whole song organized now. Thank you.

Thanks Nate! I love this song and was glad to come across this lesson. I took snips of the chord progressions and saved it in a Word document so I can work on some of the pieces offline. I managed to play through the full song along with the video. Just need to get the strumming pattern down a little better. 🎸

So do I play the intro lick, then the 5 bar intro chords and then the verse? Sorry a little confused here,,,
@TheGuitarFam11 ай бұрын
No problem. The intro lick is three measures long (plus a little bit of the next measure.) I’d play the lick for those three measures and then strum a D chord for two more measures before starting the first verse.

Ok. But what I meant was that you say the intro is 5 measures, D-G-A-D-D and then the verse and singing begins. But is this instead of the intro lick? Or do you play the lick followed by the five bars of strumming and then the verse begins? Love your lesson this is the only part that confuses me. Thanks!@@TheGuitarFam

@@kennethleeeyre9827 The lick is played over the 5 measures of intro chords. If you are playing by yourself, you have to kind of make judgment call if you want to hear the riff or the chord progression
