Maria, thanks for being a voice of common sense and not letting Cardin get away with his typical political spin.

Great work by a member of the media! That is their job, not to listen and nod.

Did not understand this exchange? Do you have a job? Do you have a 401K? Does you or your family, or your employer own any real estate? Do you pay taxes? Do you go to the doctor? If you did not understand the questions Ms. Bartiromo asked, she only asked 3 questions about what the D Senator was willing to "put on the table". They were all related to tax loopholes frequently used by investors, and the home mortgage interest deduction. The Senator had no answers because he is not informed.

The American people are not stupid! We all know cuts need to be made to programs and entitlements so that our children and our children's children are not saddled with enormous debt! Love you Maria!

He doesn't want to vote on anything that he doesn't know how it'll make an impact? But he and the rest of Congress can vote on and pass ObamaCare without knowing what's in it? Why is the President involved so deeply in this debate anyways? If Congress would act on behalf of their constituents instead of being told how to vote by their party's highest holding office they could pass something in the House. And override the President's veto IF it's what the American people want

then put a cap on the mortgage deduction. Cap it at a million dollars or whatever. Thing is, that the richest don't even need to take out mortgages, they are able to pay for the whole lot in cash. By the ultrarich, I don't mean millionaires. I am talking about those who can literally buy and sell millionaires.

Boehner's job was to obtain a palatable deal from the White House. When he told Obama "OK, I put 800B in revenues on the table. What do I get in return?" Obama answered "Nothing. I get that for free," That's not presidential; it's monarchical. And you're supporting that sort of "negotiation tactic." For shame.

the dolt in front of her gets called out/blamed for his part, not like leaping left networks' version of news motto of 'blame the other guy'. 'in the tank' ? put down the kool-aid, you've had enough.

dangerouslyuninformed; raising the pittance rate on the wealthy isn't balanced at all and raises a negligible amount of revenue. the truly wealthy don't have 'wages income', this will hit the successful business owner, the upper middle class - but still working. the mortgage deduction - not a loophole - helps owners of expensive homes with large interest, otherwise take the std.
