As a Greek myself I am so glad to see in her incredibly beautiful face all the dramaticism and the depth that the greek tragedians were able to create. I find her stunning and very different from the mainstream beauty standards. I can see this archetypical mysticism in her dramaturgy. I am so happy to see this aspect of the ancient greek tradition not only still alive in all its glory but also incorporated masterfully into a very different genre and a different time, the opera of the 20th centrury. How she merges these two is truly incredible for me!

Y, sigue siendo, la más grande, una artista única, capaz de expresar con todo su ser (voz e interpretación) el drama humano. Le faltó tiempo para consolidar a la ópera en el podio de las artes.

This is a great collection of arias sung by Maria Callas. There are some true classics in this grouping of some of the best singing by glorious Maria Callas, the queen of all sopranos of all times, past, present and future. Seriously! Most of the numbers (arias) she is involved with in this great collection, are beyond being famous, are inmortal in their own rights thanks to having been sung by Callas. There will never be another Maria Callas, or someone comparably close to her, ever! We had her in person for a while, now she continues to live in her inmortal recordings and in our hearts. Fabulous. Her voice, energy taking me in a place never been before, amazed of what a voice can do with emotions from low to highest and back again like a roller coaster. She makes me cry of her beauty and talent. Her emotions she’s transmitting to every soul hearing her. Never seen before. Wonderful voice, what a talent! She is alone in her class, no matter what people I see are writing. Today and forever, cause another Callas I doubt will be born again. Goddess! She is unique. Simple as that. As a long time opera fan (and knowing her work very well as I have recodings of everything she has ever recored in studio) I am surprised over and over again how she was able to use her voice. Not the voice itself, but her technique, her voice controle and her interpretation. Pure joy.

My God what fine remastered sound. Right off the bat we hear her fantastic Carmen! She wouldn't do it on stage....she would have been the best Carmen EVER. Just like she is the best Tosca EVER. She recorded this in the mid 60s when her top notes were starting to wobble just a tad . Her low notes here have POWER. She could have segued into Mezzo roles and kept plugging away until the end.
