Simply put, Duterte and Marcos had laid a golden path for them to win in these past years. In 36 years, they toiled in the shadows to rewrite history and weaken our guard. Leni did not have this luxury, as any in the righteous path. She has been doing her job amidst the lies and efforts of Duterte and Marcos. So yes, the Marcos reaped what they sow. They sowed lies and disinformation, propagated it until the time was right. The past was rewritten.

Not really, its about the appearance and appeal! On why marcos won and not leni. Portraying marcos as lesser evil i would say than leni, a choice that makes marcos appeal more to the masses. Having less black paints in his back other than his late father and the more they paint him as like his father did, the more people would likely vote for him. In otherwise pretensionsly pretending a only shortcomming is he being the son of late marcos and the only debate that can bring him down. Without joining any debate that can make him bad to the audience and avoiding mistake of a bitter taste by voting him. And avoiding bad qualities that fit of a president.

@My Master My King yes because there are people who have positive anecdotes about Marcos era. Don't get me wrong, I voted for Robredo. But it has been an overarching theme among her supporters that everything's about disinformation in recent years when the root cause has been brewing for the last three decades or so. The lack of self awareness from Liberals and their supporters and disconnect from the rest of population has caused them defeats in the last few elections. It's happened all over the world, especially in many parts of Africa. Zuckerberg has even been grilled over it. The truth of the matter is, the traditional way of campaigning is disappearing and now politicians can just hire some experts and disseminate whatever information they want. The point she is trying to make is: These platforms need to be regulated ASAP! We need new laws, etc. EDIT: But under the Marcos Administration? Its probably not aimed at you but the people who are easily swayed. The general public who just scroll through social media, the ones that have an ear on the radio and just picking up some few things to further solidify their beliefs etc. You literally see people supporting bbm saying that there were no crimes proven to be true in the justice system against the Marcoses. That BBM was just a child that knew nothing at the time just because they saw a post saying so. Hell you even see people justifying that he graduated college. I am not saying this to insult him or anything. Its just to point out that there is a significant amount of people that are as you say are uneducated and misinformed that CHOOSE to be that way because they would rather go with their instincts.

Ilang termino namayagpag ang liberal??? Time and time again di mo maramdaman ung mga inaasam ng tao pagbabago kung hindi pa si Digong magiging presidente. Isa lang ibig sabihin nyan, ayaw na ng tao sa mga Dilawan/Liberal dahil sa mga pangako nila na lahat napako. Isa ako bumoto dati kay Noynoy at feeling ko nakakita ako ng liwanag pero habang tumatagal, wala ako nararamdaman na pagbabago. Nagkastunting yung pagasenso ng Pilipinas. Nung 2016 Election sinasabi ko sa sarili ko, try ko naman iboto sa pagkapresidente ung bago at hindi galing sa liberal. Dito kay digong ramdam na ramdam ko ung pagbabago. Namulat at napaisip ako, "Ay pwede pala magawa, bakit ngayon lang nagawa ng presidente to?". Sinabi ko sa sarili ko na never nako boboto na galing sa Dilawan/Liberal and the rest is history BBM/SARA binoto ko :)

Question tho. If Leni won, would you still have said the same thing? What if most bbm supporters know also know the history but are just over it? Cause it’s about time that our country should heal. What if he’s actually gonna fix the problems his father created? We don’t know. He hasn’t even started yet and we already have a conclusion. I really do hope that our country would try to support our own leaders and spread love & encouragement rather than rebelling, spreading bitterness, and waiting for our leaders to fail. I think Marcos won because he made himself more reachable than the others and showed that he is also human that makes mistakes. I just find it inconsistent that the supporters of the one who advocates love and nurturing are the first ones who are trying to spread the bitterness/hate because their candidate didnt win and even create opposing ideas just to prove a point. I dont want to invalidate anyone’s feelings towards the results however, still denying the fact that it wasn’t rigged and how it’s very clear who the nation wants is just crazy. People really do have a lot to say regardless of the results. This is sad. I hope one day we can just pray for him and be of help to one another, finally accept the results with grace, and be able to move as one nation who can forgive & are loyal to one another.

She have plenty of experience. and TBH most, if not all, journalists, have Leni as their president because they are the ones who actually use facts as a basis. Leni is also approachable/reachable. Halata naman ata sa mga nag benefit ng kanyang mga proyekto. And we will NOT accept the results as long as our suspicions are proved wrong. This is worth 6 years of our life. Let us not be blinded by the media and instead be head on to fight it. Also, we don't spread bitterness because of the results of our candidates.
