Maria's $100 Old World Italian Food Challenge!!

A&Z #927 - Randy Santel "Atlas" and Jack Diamond each vs Maria's $100 Old World Italian Food Challenge at Maria's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant in Cape Coral, Florida!! Katina and I decided to kick off our 2021 food challenge touring in Florida, and our February Florida Tour turned into a February & March Florida Tour!! I attempted lots of food challenges all over the state of Florida. For challenge #7, we went back down to Maria's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant in Cape Coral, Florida which is in sunny Southwest Florida. My friend Jack Diamond attempted the challenge with me, and we each had 45 minutes to enjoy lots of delicious Italian foods from Maria's menu that were representative of "Old World Italy." Appetizers - Bruschetta, fried calamari, and cheesy garlic bread. Entrees - Giovanni's Veal Special, Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, and Italian Beef Lasagna. Desserts - cannoli w/ chocolate chips plus homemade tiramisu and Zeppolis (Italian donuts). We were each trying to win our $100 Old World Italian Food meals free plus sweet t-shirts and spots on Maria's Wall of Fame. BIG thanks to everyone with Maria's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant for the delicious food, drinks, and hospitality!! Maria's Pizzeria & Restaurant's Old World Italian Food Challenge in Cape Coral, Florida ($100):
- Maria's Italian fare is prepared using high quality ingredients. They use real butter, heavy cream, fresh chicken, real veal, extra virgin olive oil, the fryers use Rice Bran oil, and the cheeses are Grande Mozzarella & Romano. All dishes are prepared to order, not pre-prepped or frozen in advance. Maria's has been owned and operated in Cape Coral, Florida since 1991 by the Giordano family.
- This Old World Italian Food Challenge features appetizers, a few entrees, and desserts as well!!
- Appetizers - Bruschetta Rustica, Fried Calamari, and Garlic Bread w/ Cheese
- Entrees - Giovanni's Veal Special, Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, and Italian Beef Lasagna.
- Desserts - 3 cannoli w/ chocolate chips, a slice of homemade tiramisu, and Zeppolis (donuts).
- There is a 45 minute time limit to finish everything, including a cup of Italian soup w/ bread rolls.
- Winners receive the $100 meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and a coveted spot on Maria's Wall of Fame.
