Excellent review, I've played it half a dozen times when we have 3 players who have some gaming experience. Nearly all the gamers I know who've tried it can't praise it enough & the "schitzophrenic" aspect truely does work out far better than players imagine especially as the board has 2 parts. Though I'm a fan of dice rolling, the tactic cards really do work well as each player is allowed to go through their hand & play whichever card they want & the cardplay is very similar to the card game of WAR, making it very easy to pick up. I think you've done a really good review of it, as youve said its hard to do justice to this game, but you've definately whetted any viewers appetite enough with showing some of its best aspects & the chanell my friend & I run are going to do a second review as well as a playthrough ( which will be sped up @ times ). Thank you again & I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

@@harrymaxryan That 3 player count is going to make it a little trickier for me, but the game sounds so interesting - and the people who like it, seem to like it A LOT. Thanks for such a clear video!

Wow, you really put out the red carpet for this game. I want to play it, but sadly, I can only engage in 2-player wargames currently. Even though this has a 2-player version, I would prefer to play it with the full compliment to experience the best this has to offer for its type of game. I may still pick it up to have just in case that 3rd player comes along. I am glad you took the time to review this game and Thank you for doing so. Nice to see you doing a review again! :)

Nice review! I had never even heard of this one, now I am intrigued. Do Manoeuvre next! That has been sitting on my 'To Play' shelf for a while but haven't gotten to it. Maybe I just need some motivation.

I got a chance to buy this game cheaper and was excited about it after reading the reviews in gameboard geeks. last week I played it as good as i could manage ...but I don't understand the HYPE. For me, a war gamer/strategist/tactician It is not a resounding game. I generally like war/strategy games where you have a LOT of freedom to do DIFFERENT things than that actual history dictates you. This game effectively doesnot have it. Superficial it looks that way...but in reality; The prussians ALWAYS win silezia within a couple of turns. If Austria does NOT make peace it would SURELY get overrun by Prussia AND saxony AND France AND Bavaria...so Austria MUST MAKE PEACE soon. SO this is a game CERTAINTY. Only after that Austria can face France, as the Pragm. are STRONG in belgium and thus it turns into a France versus 2 maj. powers game in which France is encircled. It all works towards the ACTUAL historical result. ALWAYS. And that is boring. Further the ANNOYING thing of not being able to get a fortress as long as an enemy army (of even down to 1) is in the 3 steps vicinity. You are forced to ALWAYS advance through maj. cities and HUNT down the enemy armies either eliminating or winning MULTIPLE battles..all the time those passed through fortresses are NOT in your hands. And if THEN by some miracle you do get to win..you have to TURN BACK and go through these cities to flip the markers.. consequently the pushed away enemy army is ALSO able to turn back its steps (i.e. ADVANCE) and thus AGAIN deny ownership of these fortresses. i.e. as an invading army you need A COUPLE of armies to cooperate together. And how is this concept explained in real life ? some peasants always able to slip through the lines and harassing the dominating occupying troops in the area ? What happened with the concept of LEAVING a few troops from the army BEHIND in the city to occupy and clean up the fortress ? and gain ownership IMMEDIATELY ??? This annoys me a lot. And further, where france and austria LOSE TC like water as they have MANY different armies, facing MANY different battles and are thus left without good cards after every trun..the armies of Bavaria and Saxony can STOCKPILE TC's and start with an army of 8 ? and plunge in DEEP into Austria..making it IMPOSSIBLE for Austria to face the opposition before making peace to Prussia.
