I became an unabashed cat lady to this music. I first heard the name on late night tv and they didn’t even get it right. For awhile I asked around about “The Bronx Mariachis” which nobody had heard of and it didn’t come up on any searches. Once I finally got the right name I ordered the cd with ‘new beat’ on it. It was the first new music I had bought in a long time, first new songs I wanted to learn to sing. My companion animal of 16 years was bedridden for awhile before her passing and I would just spend all my extra money on taking in strays from the shelter. Off the deep end I went never realizing at the time because of how much fun my friends and I were having just being together. The synchronicity of your music made the transition from a two cat household to a nineteen cat household more seamless and artistic than anyone would ever believe. With so many commercial interests in stunting their growth as a family, as a colony, and as a species; a good catnip party with my buddies truly did help me “ to see how much damage I can do”... we tried to do damage to that damage done to us in spite of it as long as we could. And I know we still are some of your biggest fans, including your smallest biggest fan, Madeline.🙏🏻

I’m a 63 year old rock and roller who has a half dozen of your mariachi tunes in my absolute favorite tunes playlist. In my top 100 playlist, there are 6 of your tunes in it. Blows people away when they hear it. I will say most everyone that does hear those tunes love them! I know I really love them. So, thanks. I would come check you guys out if you play out again.

Honestly.. I'll take Mariachi El Bronx over the Bronx any day... I can listen to that Mariachi stuff all day and I'm not even latino.... I find it less dark and much more uplifting... while there are some sad mariachi songs out there I generally find them much more uplifting than punk or rap or rock... I love this video and how they isolate the various parts to highlight aspects of the song aside from the final compilation... very cool

Everything works well w/ this band, EXCEPT their name!..It just doesn't fit. They're very California from their clothes to the way they speak in interviews. Plus, city of Bronx is NOT known for anything Mexican related, not even a Mexican neighborhood there. Just think name makes some music fans automatically won't give band a chance, assuming they're some ironic hipster band
