Loved your reaction. Mariah is a legend. Her career/achievements are just unmatchable. She’s inspired a whole generation of singers. From Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Kelly Rowland, Bruno Mars, Pink, Mary J Blige, Brandy, Missy Elliott, Nelly Furtado, Lady Gaga, Kate Perry, Rihanna, Jessica Simpson, Leona Lewis, Sam Smith, Jojo, Jordin Sparks, Justin Bieber and the list goes on. I mean even the Legendary Stevie Wonder. Who said “When people talk about the great influential singers, they talk about Aretha, Whitney and Mariah”. I mean she’s on a whole another level musically speaking. Truly one of the greatest vocalist/songwriters of all time. There will never be anyone like her. I’ll always be grateful for her music. Not to mention that she has 19 #1 hits on the Billboard hot 100 (Most by any solo artist in history) and is one of the best selling female artist of all-time. She is more than just whistle notes. She creates her music. Writes her songs. She’s actually Written or co-written almost every song that has ever appeared on her albums. She was rightfully inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame last year. And is acknowledged by the World Music Awards, as the biggest-selling recording artist of the Millennium (1990-1999). Five-time Grammy Award Winner. The list goes. Queen MC will always be my fave singer/music inspiration 👑✨

Hi new subscriber here! Thank you for reacting to Mariah Carey! Since you said you've never heard of her songs, I'm just going to say I wish I can re-discover Mariah's songs again. The feeling of being new to her music is something else I can't describe it and I can't wait for more Mariah's reaction. Fun facts about the MTV Live Unplugged 1992: Mariah debuted in 1990 so people labeled her as a "Studio Singer" because her voice is just too good! That's why she responded to them by doing the MTV Unplugged. She wanted to make the live performances as raw as possible by doing these acoustic versions. You should check out her other performances from the MTV Unplugged as well. Even until now whenever Mariah Carey sings, it will turn into a debate whether she sings it live or not. I guess people still couldn't believe that she's still can sing and hitting high notes even after 30 years into her career. I hope you can react to her recent live performances as well

girl, MTV unplugged was the thing in the 90s. It's live and it's just the singer and the instruments, hence being unplugged. It's the venue for new artists that can really sing. you should check her discography and song catalogue, she can sing any genre and once you listen to her you'll get drawn to her voice. And she writes and produces her own song. She was also a backup singer for Brenda k Starr back in the 80s

This is the famous „Mariah Whistle“. And yes, in the nineties people still did real live music - and Mariah was a hell of a live performer. The whole unplugged session is a milestone in music history. If you like this, you should also some Whitney reaction. I suggest Whitney Billbord 1993 „I Have Nothing“. One of the most epic moments in music history!
