@no name a majority of education is done by art, people listen to music in the times where theyre most connected to themselves. Those moments where ones full attention is given to a song, imagination, the most important feature that every human posseses is sparked. Yes, it can be done with books also but music is quicker.. All that to say, when people use music and not just let it play, alot is learned. So beware of what you listen to, you might shift your whole life perspective. Lyrics are basically like someone reading to you, which we all grew up with.

@no name you're right, it's not a substitute but it is a Go-To for a majority. But make no mistake there are alot of artists that "educate" with their music, lessons are best learned when theres a story surrounding it. It all depends on if you're the type to be fed music or go out searching for it

As a female songwriter who has looked up to her my whole life - thank you. Thank you for honoring this part of her that most people don’t know about, or appreciate if they do. Thank you for asking the last question so we could hear her encouraging and wise answer.

I don't usually write comments on KZbin but I got to say that this has been one of my favorites Mariah Carey interviews. She is a smart, funny, beautiful and talented person and all of this can be proved with this video. Loved the way the Interviewer got prepared, I don't know if he is a real fan but he knew what he was talking about and she was pleased with that.
