This song is actually harder than most of the songs where she takes it way high because of the IMMENSE breath control, stamina, and AGILITY for those riffs and belts she was doing. That one riff she did in the final climax was on a high note, phrased, AND it was also one of her quickest and most COMPLEX runs in history. In fact it’s considered one of the hardest riffs by ANY singer and literally almost NOBODY has gotten the riff 100% correct like she did, not even the most talented vocalists that have covered this song, because the run is SO quick and precise and intricate, she legit goes all over her range hitting SO many notes in a matter of like 3 seconds WHILE PHRASING AND ANNUNCIATING. Also yes the last belt adds even MORE to the difficulty of the song since it’s held for damn near 20 secs and while doing riffs and belting, if it was falsetto of just regular volume chest voice it wouldn’t b so hard to sustain it for that long but BELTING it makes it SO much harder, again, almost no one whose covered the song has done the final belt like she did, it’s simply too much, Mariah is unbeatable. And even the ones who HAVE been able to do either the riff or belt damn near perfectly, only did ONE of them perfectly, there hasn’t rlly been anyone who’s done BOTH perfectly. Anyways this is easily top 3 hardest songs from her believe it or not. U should react to “Forever” it’s another vocally INSANE song with no room for breathing and it’s literally overflowing with riffs and runs lmao

Mariah is the greatest vocalist that has ever walked this earth. Even legends like Aretha, Patti, etc. does not even comes close to Mariah's vocal abilities. The entire Mariah Carey catalogue contains all the hardest songs to sing plus Mariah is polyphonic and has a perfect pitch. Her incredible control and command across her entire range, and her ability to vary the texture and timbre of her voice, plus her lightning speed agility and her unparalleled musicianship makes her the greatest of them all, that's why no one can ever come close to Mariah's vocal abilities.

This song is spectacular. Emotions, We belong together, Mine again, Fly like a bird and Lead the way are one of the few songs in her repertoire that she recognizes the vocal prowess required to sing them . BTW the run before the climax (last chorus)has 35 notes sung in 2 seconds "All hail and bow to Mariah Carey, The Queen of Divas, Protector of the vocal skills from the realm, Archiduchess of Vocal range/registers, Empress of agility, The unmatched, The Mellisma mother, The Goddess of Songwriting and producing, The one often imitated, but never duplicated, The embodiment of pure success",. This song is one of her hardest songs vocally. There was even a "lead the way" challenge and many people tried that one run but Mariah is often imitated but never duplicated. I say that to say that from the whispery tone, to the melisma (runs) to the vocal transitions, to the belting, to the whistle note, to the vocal modulation on the last note is beyond this world. I wish you would appreciate more of the whispery tone and the runs that she does with them. But we all have our opinions. Great reaction. Glad you attempted to do the long note, that was funny. 🤣

It’s beyond me why you always fail to appreciate her whispery tone. Do you have any idea how hard it is to have control over that register? Mariah would hate to hear you just want her to sing all songs in the same darn style and register. So boring!!! Having no dynamics is being a bad singer and MC is a phenomenal singer because of her dynamics, range, control, tone, melismas and her overall great musicality.

Not trying to discredit anything. I can’t get my voice that high and can’t sing at all so I can’t really imagine the difficulty of her whispery tone. I just really enjoy her chest voice and the emotion in it. Maybe I didn’t convey it in the best way but by wanting to hear her chest voice more I wasn’t trying to depreciate or undermine the song’s difficulty.

I love watching your videos because of your theatrical personality but it's becoming a bit annoying to hear how you downplay her head voice. Mariah has mastered the art of knowing when to sing softly and when to belt, everything that she does is extremely difficult.
