Vocally this is EASILY top 3 Mariah songs VOCALLY. Many ppl have actually either covered or done the climax riff as a challenge on TikTok, obviously no one has been able to replicate it how Mariah sung it because she just went CRAZY! Not only is that riff she did at the climax in the end one of THE most complicated riffs in the entire industry because it’s SO fast, precise, spans over so much range, but most importantly it’s EXTREMELY complex, the notes literally go EVERYWHERE, and it’s crazy how she can do something like that yet STILL make it fit in with the melody of the song😭. And as if that weren’t enough, right after that insane riff, she goes on to sustain a belted note for abt 20 seconds, which is her longest sustained belt in her entire discography… her vocal stamina and breath control are UNMATCHED

Have u checked out Gabriel Henrique cover it ? He’s a huge Mariah fan and self taught and doesn’t speak English but for a guy , he killed this song ! I hope u hear it have a great day ❤❤❤❤

@@BaddieRiah ok cool , I didn’t say beat it , but for a guy no one has come close to him and his whistle is insane he doesn’t even have to cover an ear . To each their own I respect it

She’s hit higher whistles PLENTY of times without “covering her ear” lmfao. I can prove it by linking u clips too. But yes I do agree it’s crazy that he was able to do that and come close. Tho he didn’t sustain the 20 second long belt she did, he cut it in half and the main riff wasn’t exactly the same.
