Anyone who has followed Mariah for years knows that the relationship between her and her sister has been very messy. In fact, Mariah has had a pretty complicated relationship with both her siblings.
For the most part, Mariah felt like her siblings treated her like an 'ATM' now that she's the famous and successful one, and they feel entitled to her money just because they are related. For that reason, Mariah decided to respectfully cut them off. And I mean that completely.
But let’s say that her siblings, especially Alison, took offense.

In Mariah's memoir 'The Meaning of Mariah Carey' she talks about a time when she was about 12 and Alison was much older than her and catting about Long Island. Alison tried to pimp Mariah out to some bf of hers and offer Mariah coke when she wasn't even a teenager yet!! Luckily Mariah got away but anyone who would do that to their little sister should never have the audacity to think that their sister owes them anything! Mariah has been more than generous to Alison. Alison messed her own life up and needs to take responsibility for it. It is very sad that she is ill but if she had been a better sister perhaps she wouldn't have ended up in this situation.

Siblings can be a trip. I have a older sister who I’ve always loved and did things for our other siblings passed away leaving just me and her. Recently I took her shopping spending a good amount of money no biggy prior to that I bought her a full dinner for Christmas with all the trimmings. She refused to bring me a plate and I’m an amputee! I said okay whatever. One day we were on the phone and I asked her would she ever do that for me and she said NO! Not ever. I'm sorry for Allison but enough is enough. Mariah tried to help her even though she tried to drug her and pimp her out. They have to deal with the consequences of their actions throughout their entire lives. Allison has some nerve to say Mariah is bashing her when Mariah is telling the story of her life, a life Allison herself tried several times to derail and doing everything she does these last few years is to speak ill of Mariah to the press. She is lucky Mariah did not press charges against her.

Most music artists come from broken families, that is what prompts them to express it all through their music. Listen to Mariahs song called “petals”. She calls her sister dandelion. Dandelion tea was the interview exposing the truth of their strange relationship. The truth lies in the music. Mariah formed boundaries long ago. My family was the same. Fame or not, sometimes you just have to walk away...siblings can serve as triggers, they've all been hurt, they're all in pain and dealing with it differently. Boundaries are important, everyone has a right to tell their story. Anne Lamott said if you wanted people to write warmly about you, you would have behaved better. I wish them all healing.

I don't know their situation BUT I do know people sometimes give broken outsiders MORE compassion then a broken family member. If Allison was detrimental to Mariah mental health then it's understandable to place healthy boundaries. However loke the old saying goes there is ALWAYS more then one side to every story but because Mariah is so loved the majority is going to side with her.... I completely understand mariah in this situation I too fed, clothed, allowed him ( my brother) and his gf too stay with me several times through the years and he still stole from me the more i give the more he did drugs and I was raising 2 kids me and hubby arguing over my brother taking advantage of me but all i could see was my little helpless brother in my eyes Not a grown a** 30yr old man that i had been taking care of since i was around 7yrs old fed clothed rdy for school because my mother addiction! Also i have been raising his daughter now she's 5yrs old she thinks of me as her mommy even though she knows im her auntie I had her as soon as her mother gave birth from then on that little girl depended on me and i her as well My 2 kids graduated around this time So now i have this beautiful soul So i had to let go of my brother and his habits destroying everything everyone around and after the 100th time of stealing from me and i freely give im a very free hearted person But this changed me i now speak up for myself and distance myself from him other than him spending time with his daughter because i want take that away but no more GIVE GIVE GIVE i was only enabling and promised rehab from him soo many times Guys a person has to want to get better they have to love themselves more than the drugs they put in themselves!! I love you mariah 💓 I completely understand and my brother was given $$ for a dentist also at 36yrs old he has no teeth because of his choices! He got the $$ back that was paid to the dentist DIRECTLY!! If you haven't lived or known a junkie then you will never understand Just saying Oh she rich shes wrong this and that Yall Dnt even know THE STRUGGLES or the mental health toll it takes on you because you sp busy taking care of everyone else you neglect YOURSELF and I am 46 now My throat chakra is open i speak up for myself and nobody is going to take advantage of me my kindness ever again God will test you and take you through things to strengthen you and im Getting Stronger, Better.❤ Dnt judge what you don't know aboutl or know someone situation My brother is a con and a liar I still love him but i distance myself for my sanity as well as my family Its hard watching someone you love slowly dying and nothing you can do but i will not be apart of the slow death that drugs bring or quick because drugs are unpredictable you can die just once my brother has had several ods and i stayed stressed out running 🏃‍♀️ back and forth Like he was my child I never had any problems with my kids thank god but my brother definitely taught me alot 💯 Sometimes we get karmic lessons as well!
