In this video I'm talking about 5 most important things that I think about whenever doing ARABESQUE and whenever I'm working on making my extensions to the back higher and more pretty looking! These are the 5 tips that I got from people around me, my coaches and ballet colleagues that really help me with lifting the leg higher and making it more stable and look more beautiful in class, at the rehearsals and on stage. Please note that this only comes from my personal experience and I'm not saying that these will work for absolutely anyone, however these tips have been literal lifesavers for me and I just knew I needed to share these with you!
ARABESQUE is one of the most important, beautiful and emotional moves in ballet in my opinion, there's an arabesque or an attitude in every solo and in every choreography so it is crucial for a ballerina to always work on the extensions to the back!
I hope you find this video useful and interesting and I hope these tips and advices could be of a little help!

My ballet master always said " arms before legs! " over and over! It is a life saver! It helps to complete the line, takes some strain out of the legs, and in general your positions, balances, turns, and jumps are more secure than if the porta bra follows the body. Great video Maria!

I love your channel but please do a normal, real life background, not a super-imposed white one. With black tights I can't see the leg muscles and also the blacks tights cut off at the bottom and chop off the line. These things makes it harder and less beautiful to look at your valuable videos. Thank you.
