As a South African I can agree that there is assassinations in our country of lower politicians in one of our provinces but the media reports little to nothing on it. Glad someone talked to these people and brings it to light.

The honor and title of “journalist” should only be given to a select few like Mariana. I hold the Mexican journalists who are routinely assassinated for covering the cartel in the same esteem. It is hard to believe that the people at MSN, CNN, and Fox share the same title. Mariana is amazing.

Back in my early journalism days I was an aspiring investigative journalist. For my college thesis I decided to challenge myself by writing an investigative piece on the biker wars of the 80s. I read every book on the subject, exchanged emails with a prominent 1%er, obtained court documents, and even interviewed former members of the OMC- WI Stateline chapter, as well as an agent from the FBI. I got my A but fuckin aye was it an unreal experience having beers and talking crime with two 1% bikers that would easily beat my ass for asking the wrong question. Also, I ended up in music journalism.

A female relative of mine who is older than me was dating a much younger black man (she is white) and they used to go to underground clubs. One night they were going into one of these clubs and a dude looks at her and her boyfriend who is young enough to be her son, sees her wedding ring (she is a widow) and hands her a card. An ACTUAL business card for a cleaning service (there was a an old Hoover vac as part of the logo) and she didn't realize until her BF told her later that it wasn't a maid service. Dude had actual business cards. She kept it and I saw it.
