I really love this one, dearest Viktoria! The intro to this song is so memorable and reminds me of Pat Benatar's "We Belong." (I wonder if she was influenced by this song. I would say she probably was.) I remember this one in "Thelma & Louise," too, and right now, I'm looking at my Shel Silverstein book of poetry. :-) The lyrics are powerful and sad, but also uplifting, because she is finally free at the end; Shel has such creative ways of telling a story, and Marianne's voice brings even more emotion and depth to this song.
