If people will just stop listening to what others say about her and check out her excellent platform on her campaign site, you will see the wisdom, strength and courage this woman has. Then start sending tweets to CBS about her placement on the debate stage, for both debates...then ask why her mic was not working part of the time and she was not called on to answer questions, although she raised her hand often....you get the idea. In spite of it all, she is being heard and beating the odds. She could heal this country! #Marianne2020

It was her very first debate, she admits it wasn’t her best performance, which is a great sign that she will do better in the upcoming. She has a super smart plus well rounded mind, a heart with a long track record of public service, she’s known and respected internationally, is an excellent public speaker (especially when given more than 7 mins), she dreams big and yet is aware of needed bridges. I agree. I like the interviews Stephen Colbert has with the presidential candidates. He is a good host and gives the candidate enough time to profile themselves. Stephen is a great interviewer.

@@JustMe-ec2ph Sorry, but I'm convinced that if Democrats want to win this election, they have to go with a more moderate approach to getting everyone health care. The public option, which was supposed to be part of the ACA in the first place, would be a fine way of transitioning to Medicare for all. And it wouldn't cause a huge upset in the insurance industry with the attendant firings and unemployment rates going up. As more and more people decided they wanted the public option, the insurance companies would have to compete for customers and will provide better coverage. Meanwhile, more and more people will be covered because of it, plus as more Democrats are elected to state houses and governorships, more of the working poor will get the Medicare expansion, which they should have been able to get all these years. There is a lot that the ACA does for us that most people are unaware of. Medicare for all as a flat out substitute for the ACA, in other words repealing the ACA and just going with Medicare for all, would negate a lot of the good the ACA does behind the scenes to make our health care better.
@JustMe-ec2ph
@JustMe-ec2ph 5 жыл бұрын
@@wendyscott8425 The majority of Dems want Medicare for all and some Republicans so I disagree on the "more moderate approach" and for sure I am sick of the Insurance Industry making huge profits off of sick and dying people. I also don't like the way some doctors discriminate in favor of those with private insurance over those that have Medicare and Medicaid which I think would disappear if everyone had Medicare for all since Medicare pays more than Medicaid and would get rid of the paper work that comes with that which is something doctors don't like all of the paperwork. I understand since Medicare for all is not a priority of yours that you would be ok with Marianne going back on it but while some people are dismissive of pledges I think if a candidate can't keep their word on a pledge on one issue then they could also go back on their word on other issues. Just cover everyone with the same health care seniors get only better and less cost is the way I rather go. When I google Medicare for all VS the public option I saw this in the results but couldn't get the article to open up and wish I could had because with it being someone that is an administrator of Medicaid and Medicare I would had loved to know their opinion on it....If you want to read it maybe you can get it to open up. @Britt Waller humor is humor and all late night comedians are in it for the one liners. It's the setup of their show. However when it comes to Marianne, the late night people have been extra dismissive trying to paint her like an 800# psychic. It's funny that most doctors are pushing meditation, but if she were to talk about it, it would make her even lower hanging fruit. They have leveled a special kind of distain and wickedness toward her. Nobody asks Yang why he is not qualified or compares him to trump. Funny when "all" he is is a self-employed, self-actualized millionaire as well. Her being dismissed esp by late night people who definitely change the narrative daily, have kept her.off the polls even. How does one have 2% in the polls if their name isn't even on the polls? Yeah.

From a Canadian who has come to view most Americans as morons wallowing in hubris, I have got to say that this woman is the freshest breath of air I've seen in politics ANYWHERE for a very very long time. I cannot say that she would make a good president just on the basis of this wonderfully surprising interview, but I do think that any front runner for the Democratic nomination should seriously consider her as a running mate. Such a position would allow her to acquire some necessary political experience. Now imagine a president in 2024 who combines the compassion of Lincoln, the vision of Kennedy, and the oratory of Reagan; but who wears a dress and heels, and just maybe you can call her Madame President Williamson.

And if you think that means that I "hide under a rock," then that's your opinion. I acknowledge that you have come to that conclusion about me, a random person on the Internet that you've never met in real life. The "rock" that I'm "hiding under" is the belief that Stephen Colbert and his writers are not intending to sway Democratic voters to a specific candidate for the primaries. As far as I can recall, they didn't do that explicitly during the primaries in 2016, for either party. She signed a pledge being firmly for Medicare for all and now is wishy washy wanting a public option "in addition to an ObamaCare exchange". I like her but she is not strong enough on issues and as much as the world needs more love, sweet love, that's not all it takes to run a country.

@@JustMe-ec2ph Hillary Clinton changed her views on gay marriage... Politicans change views with more information and according to public perception. She signed a pledge and now has expanded. We all could find policy positions that where people have changed. That's not a good enough reason to not consider her for President. Infact that's more reason to notice her because she's willing to go for the best option. The public option was popular until insurance companies got scared about losing money, and helped to sway Politicans with incentives with MONEY for standing with them.

Just Me Her message isn’t only that love is the answer. She has policies on how she will end corruption in politics and how she wants to reinvest in the country’s future by focusing on children and public safety. Love is the backbone behind her values that we are here to love each other. That isn’t a policy statement but the motivation to help shape the policies and priorities.

Despite the continual marginalization of her campaign by the MSM, she is clearly catching on. She is most unironically and unapologetically my first pick, and has been since the day she announced her exploratory committee back in November of 2018. We need to keep hearing her clear vision for our nation and our world in all the debates to come, so it's imperative that we get as many people as possible to donate, even as little as $1 to make it happen. Her star is rising, and in this interview you have just a small sample of the reason why. For some of us this is no surprise whatsoever, and for others who are just now catching on - watch her July 30th on the debate stage in Detroit. Her showing in the polls will soar thereafter, regardless of how far to one side her podium is placed. She is a *true* progressive, who understands that it is time for the people to step in. Let's do this. #jointheevolution secure.actblue.com/donate/marianne-williamson-2020-committee

I think we should all write MSNBC and demand she be given a proper interview and be invited to shows like Rachel Maddow.. I'm tired of them trotting out the top five as if there are only white men with the last name that begins with "B" and the other three women in this race. I've heard quite a few of her speeches and this lady knows what she's talking about. If nothing else, she should be able to influence the dems and give them a backbone before they manage to lose this very winnable election.

Nobody on mainstream media wanted to be associated with Marianne Williamson, but now that they are letting her speak, many see that she is actually incredibly intelligent, deep, competent. She has arrived to her conclusions by reflecting on and writing almost everything herself! she is a freaking machine of wisdom and common sense. +[Bree Fabig] She's also the only Candidate who I've heard talk about the simple fact that the "millionaire and billionaire" Executives of Giant Corporations aren't the end-all be-all of the problem -- although they do contribute a hefty part, of course -- but rather: just as we ordinary people, and even more so our Representatives, are forced into horrible situations and/or behaviour by the chokehold giant Corporations and their Executives have on Society at large; they too are forced into horrible situations and behaviour by a hostile force: their shareholders. If we want to get out of the catastrophic situation we are in, we need to abolish the Shareholder-based Economy, which has only existed since the 1970s or 1980s or so. And Marianne Williamson is the only Presidential Candidate I've seen so far who acknowledges those 2 things (the historical one and the "recommendation for the future" one).
