2.5 years ago, this song was played at the funeral of a friend of mine, during the walk between the church and his grave. I had never heard it before, and there I was, burying a friend at 17, who died in a car accident. It was beautifull seeing all these people from our high school, christians or not, close to the familly or not. Then, during the following year this song became one of the few I listened to on repeat during my depression. This song LITERRALY feels home to me

I left MTL weeks ago after a few years there. I miss this city so much, best city I had the chance to live in. This video remind me of those places I used to visit/walk by. The winter is so nice there... In the end even if I loved Montréal, I never felt completly home. So I had to get back to my real home, because home is where the heart is..

I am from Wisconsin, which I don't think is where this was filmed, but it looks quite similar in almost every way. This year I moved far away and although I haven't felt outright homesick at any point, I do have a very strong sense of familiarity with this imagery as a home to me. I clicked on this video for the song and was welcomed with all of these amazing visuals and scenes that are starkly different from my current life but similar to every point before now - very fitting for moving into the new year and a new chapter, although I will always call places that look like that home.
