Shotgun shells basically never changed since the 1800’s thats actually pretty surprising(i also googled shotgun shells from the 1800’s to compare and the show is damn close)
@jomahawk7488 Жыл бұрын
That actually wasn’t a shotgun. I thought so myself for a long time, but according to Imfdb (the internet movie firearms data base), it’s a Howdah Pistol. Very large caliber, very possibly .577. But fires one large projectile instead of several smaller shot pellets. And I know that shotguns have slugs, but the main difference is that the Howdah is basically a sawn-off rifle. Meaning the barrel is rifled instead of smooth bore like a shotgun is. You’ll also notice that when the wall behind where Sherlock’s head was explodes from the first shot, there is only one, relatively small hole, instead of a spread of holes from a spread of shot.

someone as physically fit as Sherlock Holmes would have had little trouble maneuvering his hands to be in front of him while he was obscured by the smoke. it would only take a few seconds.

@@amazingfan15 I've been handcuffed and I seriously doubt that. I'm reasonably physically fit but I think even the most athletic person would find it quite difficult to move their arms so that they could fit your body through there let alone quietly or in smoke. Perhaps a contortionist could do so? I suspect the answer is that A 2848 misread the scene and the key was dropped loose down Holmes's shirt where he could awkwardly retrieve it.
